Where the prosecutor does not show up for trial, the court could dismiss the case as a sanction. A lot of times, more than one case is set for trial but and only one case will actually proceed to trial.
In those rare instances in which the attorney’s appearance will substitute for the defendant’s appearance, the failure of the attorney to appear, and you don’t appear, a bench warrant for your arrest will be issued for failure to appear in court at the date and time ordered.

They will likely give you a continuance. They may even call the lawyer and yell at them. You really want to make sure you have a lawyer who will show up though.

You haven't said whether you case is a Small Claims lawsuit or is the case in the Superior Court. If in Small Claims court, the judicial officer will most likely dismiss your case automatically by you not showing up on the day of trial.
