Ryūichi NaruhodōPhoenix "Nick" Wright, known as Ryūichi Naruhodō (Japanese: 成歩堂 龍一, Hepburn: Naruhodō Ryūichi) in the original Japanese language versions, is a fictional defense attorney in Capcom's Ace Attorney video game series.
Detective Gumshoe makes a brief appearance in Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney as a witness during a trial before Phoenix lost his attorney's badge. For some reason, he is not wearing the coat Maggey gave him after Trials and Tribulations.
Unbeknownst to Byrde, Dick Gumshoe had developed a crush on her since she was a trainee, and would watch out for her. A month after her conviction, he visited the real Phoenix Wright and angrily demanded that he rectify the situation.
Bobby Fulbright was a hot-blooded detective with the catchphrase "In justice we trust!" He had evidently worked with Simon Blackquill many times and was paired up with him in court. The detective hoped to help the prosecutor redeem himself, and he seemed completely oblivious to the latter's attempts to manipulate him.

The game was directed by Takeshi Yamazaki and produced by Motohide Eshiro. Eshiro had come up with the idea of a new adventure game about Ace Attorney characters while working on Trials and Tribulations, and Yamazaki had the idea to have it be about deductive reasoning and crime scene investigation.
The game was specifically designed to be different from previous Ace Attorney titles, with a larger focus on the environment. The development team had originally considered using Ema Skye, a character from earlier games in the series, as the lead character, but used Miles Edgeworth instead because of his popularity.
During investigation phases, players control Edgeworth directly, either with the D-pad, or by sliding the map that is displayed on the bottom screen. The player has Edgeworth walk around crime scenes in search for evidence; they also meet witnesses and suspects during these phases, who they can talk to. As Edgeworth notices various things in the crime scene, they are saved as Edgeworth's thoughts. Using the "logic" function, the player can connect two such thoughts to gain new information; for instance, by connecting two bullet holes with a gun that has only been fired once, Edgeworth will conclude that two guns must have been at the crime scene. At some points, the player is able to control a cursor to examine parts of the crime scene; by using the "deduction" function at these points, the player is able to point out a contradiction between the crime scene and evidence. If the player successfully points out a contradiction, they gain access to new information. At certain points, a device called Little Thief can be used to create hologram reproductions of the crime scene; by investigating these reproductions, the player can discover new information that would otherwise be hidden. As more evidence is uncovered, the hologram is updated. After having examined an area sufficiently, the investigation phase ends, and the game moves on to a rebuttal phase.

In the first case, Turnabout Visitor, Edgeworth finds the dead body of Detective Buddy Faith in his office. He learns that the murderer was Jacques Portsman , a prosecutor who was working for the smuggling ring, and was trying to steal evidence from the murder ten years ago from Edgeworth's office; when Faith got too close, Portsman killed him. The fifth case, Turnabout Ablaze, takes place at the former Cohdopian embassy; civil tension in Cohdopia forced the country to split into Allebahst and Babahl, which share the same embassy building. The two countries planned to announce their reunification at the embassy when the fake Yatagarasu appeared, setting fire to the building and killing two people. The bodies are found at the embassies' respective offices; one of them is discovered to be the former secretariat of the Cohdopian embassy, who now was the secretariat for Babahl. Shih-na is revealed to be Calisto in disguise; she insists that she did not murder the secretariat, and is revealed to be an accessory to the crime. As she is taken away, she reveals that she is not Cece's sister, that "Calisto" was just an alias she took while working for the smuggling ring, and that she became part of Yatagarasu on orders from the ring's leader. Edgeworth reveals the ring's leader to be Allebahst's and formerly Cohdopia's ambassador Quercus Alba, who had committed murders and covered the tracks of the ring, and brought counterfeit money into Zheng Fa. Alba, Amano and others are convicted of their crimes, while Edgeworth and his companions recommit to their vows to defend the truth.
On the other hand, Capcom USA's vice president described Western sales as "poor at best". The game won an Aggie Award for Best Character of 2010, for Miles Edgeworth, and was awarded for Best Adventure Title of 2010 on Nintendo DS by Nintendo World Report.
Because of Gumshoe's well-meaning nature, he attracts a lot of friends in the series. Most notably is probably Edgeworth whom he has a great deal of respect for and always denied the rumors about his witness tampering and use of falsified evidence.
Gumshoe started out as a police officer and worked his way up to be promoted to a detective, specialising in homicide cases. He says he gets himself assigned to the best cases because of his "powers of persuasion". He often works for the Prosecutors but is often willing to help Wright in his side of the cases too.
Gumshoe has many friends such as Phoenix Wright and Maya Fey, whom he helps in investigations throughout the first three games starring Wright in the main role. He is also Edgeworth 's investigative partner throughout the games starring Miles Edgeworth in the titular role. He is also very sensitive to common comments.
Ace Attorney Investigations swaps the stage of a courtroom for a crime scene, and gets to the bottom of cases that will test the skills of eagle-eyed players with challenges developed for Nintendo DS.

Occasionally, the player must look for a clue in an area that contradicts collected evidence and then press a "Deduce" button (or the "X" button) to select the contradicting evidence. Investigations also make use of a second "inventory", called " Logic ", that stores important pieces of information that Edgeworth has found. Here, the player can combine two ideas to reach a conclusion. This can create a new piece of information or trigger some other event. Some investigation phases involve investigating a virtually reconstructed version of a crime scene using a gadget belonging to Kay Faraday called " Little Thief ".
For each episode, characters are noted as either debuting (first appearance, but appear in future episodes) or exclusive to that episode (first appearance and only appear in that episode). Characters noted as cameoing have all appeared in previous Ace Attorney games, but appear only as small, full body sprites that often cannot be properly interacted with in this game. Characters with no such notes after their name have either previously appeared in an Ace Attorney game and/or a prior episode of Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth .
Ace Attorney Investigations sold 172,000 units in its first week of release in Japan, and 42,000 the following week. In both cases, the game was the 2nd best selling DS title in Japan, after Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days .
The other main phase of the game are " arguments ", which are similar to cross-examinations in the core Ace Attorney games.
Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth was released on December 8, 2017 on both iOS and Android. However, although the standard "close-up" sprites and location art were updated, the "zoomed-out" character sprites were directly ported from the original DS games, albeit scaled-up to match the rest of the game's elements.
In March 2009, Capcom trademarked the name "Ace Attorney Investigations". In late April, an English logo for the game was leaked on Court Records in a picture taken from the event Captivate 2009.

People are bringing up the fact that Gumshoe is alluded to by Phoenix in the final case of SoJ, but nobody mentioned that he is mentioned by name in the DLC case. Yes, I do remember Phoenix talking about previous cases in the DLC, where he said that it used to be just him, Maya, Pearl and Gumshoe.
Ace Attorney is a series of legal thriller comedy-drama adventure / visual novel games created by Shu Takumi. Players assume the role of a defense attorney in a fictional courtroom setting in the main series. Published by Capcom, the series includes Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Justice for All, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Trials and Tribulations, Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth, Ace Attorney Investigations 2, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies, The Great Ace Attorney: Adventures, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice, and The Great Ace Attorney 2: Resolve. Miles Edgeworth (御剣 怜侍, Mitsurugi Reiji) is Phoenix Wright's long-time friend and first rival in the court room. He is temporarily playable in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Trials and Tribulations and the main player character in Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth and Ace Attorney Investigations 2. As a child, Edgeworth aspired to become a defense attorney, following in his father Gregory Edgeworth's footsteps. When they were children, Edgeworth successfully defended Phoenix in a classroom trial, where Phoenix was accused of stealing lunch money from Edgeworth himself. However, upon witnessing his father's death and watching in horror as the suspected murderer was let free, he gained a hatred for criminals and began studying to be a prosecutor, learning tactics from his mentor Manfred von Karma to always get a "guilty" verdict. This later earned him the name "demon prosecutor". Miles had not lost a case he was involved with until his first trial against Phoenix, after which he felt a need to defeat Phoenix.
Adrian Andrews (華宮 霧緒, Kamiya Kirio) was involved in a complicated relationship with two television stars. After her boss and mentor committed suicide two years prior, Adrian attempted suicide herself, but failed. Following her former boss's murder conviction, she gained employment at a department store working as an assistant for special events. Adrian can easily drift off into her own thoughts, is accident-prone, and can be high-strung at times. She also has a dependent personality and relies on other people to find the will to live, as mentioned by Edgeworth, Phoenix, and Mia on different occasions. At the end of Trials and Tribulations, she mentions befriending Franziska von Karma, who teaches her how to use a whip.
Manfred von Karma (狩魔 豪, Karuma Gō) is the main antagonist of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. He is a meticulous, ruthless prosecutor who is known for having a perfect record of getting all guilty sentences in every case.
Franziska von Karma. Franziska von Karma (狩魔 冥, Karuma Mei) is the main rival and prosecutor in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Justice for All. She is the daughter of Manfred von Karma. Franziska became a prosecutor in Germany at the age of 13, and was undefeated during that time.
He was accused of murder while studying in college, but was successfully defended by Mia Fey, leading to him joining up with her office after graduation. After Mia was murdered, Phoenix inherited the office, renaming it "Wright and Co.", and continued his work as a defense attorney, assisted by Mia's sister Maya.
