When is the county property tax hearing 2021?

The annual public hearing on the county property tax rate was held Aug. 19, 2021 , in the Historic Courthouse. County commissioners approved the proposed tax rate is lower than that set at least year's hearing - 0.1011 compared to 0.1216 - due to the sales tax rollback. Proposed levy for the Special Road & Bridge Fund is 0.0992 compared to 0.10 last year.

When will the 3/8 cent sales tax be collected in Missouri?

How long is a marriage license valid in Missouri?

The marriage license is valid for 30 days from the date of issuance. It may be used anywhere within the state of Missouri.

Marriages can be performed by a minister in good standing with any church or synagogue in Missouri. While any judge (including a municipal judge) may perform marriages, there presently are none in Lawrence County who perform marriages. There are no justices of the peace in Missouri.

Applicants must be 18 or older to marry without parental consent. Those ages 16 to 17 may obtain a license with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. That consent must be given in person at the time of application, and the person giving that consent must have proper identification.
