In fact, the volume allowed my firm to develop a system to identify coverage, provide the covered service, deliver the service product, get paid and close the matter. We have just recently adopted a billing profile for each client to help bring clarity to billing and alternative fee arrangements.
Legal insurance plans continue to help my firm by creating a passive stream of business. In effect, belonging to ARAG adds additional business that initially we spend little or no time and almost zero marketing dollars to develop. The long-term benefits, in addition to free cash flow, are:

I had an interview yesterday and I think I did really well. It was a phone interview which I've never had before and they will not have additional rounds of interviews. So I hope to hear back some good news. The panel seemed very alert and made comments like "great" and "excellent" after I answered each question.
Hi everyone, I am hoping the fine people of Reddit are able to provide some guidance.
I am a long term state employee and currently pay $154 a month for Kaiser. I’m looking to switch health plans (specifically, a plan that has better mental health resources; Kaiser’s is abysmal).
I am transferring laterally and my start date is 9/15 which is on a Wednesday. I would prefer to take the Monday (9/13) and Tuesday (9/14) off before I start. I asked my current supervisor for using my time off, so my last day would’ve been Friday (9/10). He said he’d think about it and is currently not approving it.
If duties permit, I’ve heard Department of Conservation is doing full-time telework. Anywhere else?
Sara Diamond handled our ARAG-covered estate planning and was fantastic. Right in downtown Berkeley. fan of ARAG and Sara
Don't waste your time trying to find a lawyer through ARAG. In my experience, most won't return your calls and the two that I worked with were terrible: dragged their heels, were discourteous, did not help me get the process work done that I needed. You do get a benefit reimbursement from ARAG if you go to a lawyer outside the network, so I suggest that you use it. Sarah Leverett in Oakland is a good mediation lawyer. Hope this is helpful.
My husband & I (both UC employees) used the ARAG legal insurance benefit a couple of years ago for Estate Planning & Medical directives etc. It was completely worth it & didn't cost us anything. I called some of the lawyers recommended on BPN, but they unfortunately weren't part of ARAG. They referred me to Sara Diamond: 510-548-4844; [email protected]; http://www.saradiamondattorney.com/. It was great working with her - she was very patient with our questions and it was very convenient as she is in Downtown Berkeley on Shattuck. I highly recommend her. Anon
I've used ARAG (not through UC) for several years now for wills. Our plan includes wills as part of the package -- no extra fees, not hourly -- and included healthcare directives, powers of attorney etc. We haven't set up a trust (not enough asset to warrant) but my understanding is that if it's basic, it's included. You might want to check out the website and see what kind of law the attorneys listed specialize in when choosing -- I chose mine based on geography because we didn't have any special needs. It's a pretty easy process, you meet w/ the lawyer, discuss your needs, assets, special concerns, how you want the proceeds directed etc. They draw up the will, send it to you to review, make any changes, and you come back in to sign/witness/notarize.
