Jan 07, 2016 · When this happens, Cocorico is killed and Falcon leaves. This puts you into Case 4a. Second, you can speak up and start a trial, to see if Cocorico killed the Croque-Monsieur. If you win the trial, this puts you into Case 4b. If you lose the trial, this puts you into Case 4c. Falcon acts as the defense attorney in this trial.
If you fail to secure a Not Guilty verdict for Caterline Demiaou, she never confesses that she's the real killer and is executed. Falcon spends the next day drinking at Canard Joyeux not because he still believes in her innocence, not because Rorgeuil was convicted and set to be executed instead. In Falcon's dream after being thrown in the Seine, she asks him "Why did you fail me?" If you go to the Chateau during Chapter Three and speak to Couline, she'll say that the Baron is capable of managing the household on his own instead of saying she's leaving with him being gone now. In ending 4A, if Caterline was executed instead of Rorgeuil, the Viridian Killer blows him up instead and Beaumort is charged with his murder instead of Caterline's. Everything else about 4A stays the same.
Falcon shows up late to the Aviary Attorney office and receives a letter from Seigneur Purrtoir Demiaou asking for legal help for his daughter, Dame Caterline, wrongly accused of murder. Your assistant, Sparrowson, asks if you'll be taking the case. If you respond "Of course!" you will proceed to La Conciergerie, the prison where Caterline Demiaou is being held. If you choose "Nope" Sparrowson will challenge you to a game of Jacques-noir (Blackjack) where you try to get closer to 21 when drawing cards than the dealer. Sparrowson will always win, and you'll head over to La Conciergerie anyway.
She lets all three of you go free, and has Pierro and Fontaine guide you out. Beaumort stays behind to get the truth out of the wolf brothers. They want a world without class or religion, where only reason reigns, like Beaumort's rebellion, but they believe it's only achievable with violence.
The catacombs are pitch-black and you can't see where you're going. Whatever path you choose to follow, you end up in a lit room where the lionness Beaumort is trying to get information out of Séverin, who they caught spying on the rebellion. But Beaumort has her own grudge as her father stole some vegetables to feed her and was sentenced to prison by Séverin, where he died. Just as she's about to declare him guilty, you have the option to speak up or stay silent.

Present Judge Romulus from the Face Book, and Lander will tell you Romulus did buy a bunch of chocolate and provided his own special filling. He gives you Romulus 's chocolate receipt to keep, which is signed in green ink.
Major Howl, a royal guard, took the rose instead and died immediately after pricking his finger. He obtained the rose from a flower seller named Cygne. The poisoned rose is added to your evidence folder. Juan also says he's in Paris on a diplomatic mission, due to arguments about who is to take the throne in Spain.

Grandville drew thousands of these caricatures, with a biting wit; his targets were public figures, the Church, and the French monarchy. He actually got in trouble with authorities, with the police ransacking his house, and a law requiring caricatures to be vetted by the authorities, voted after he became popular.
The game came out for Windows on Steam in 2016, and had a Switch re-release in 2020 ; the Switch version has the same content, but boasts higher-quality scans of the animals and a better, in my opinion, parallax effect that allows the characters to stand out more against the background compared to the Windows version.
The personalities are furthered by the choice of music, which is taken from public domain as well: “Le Carnaval des Animaux”, by 19th century composer Camille Saint-Saens, an orchestral piece in which each song is meant to evoke an animal (a very good piece of classical music, and a staple of French kindergarten).

Aviary Attorney is an Adventure Game about 19th-century Parisian lawyers…who happen to be birds. The game's art is based on the lithographs of 19th-century French artist J.J. Developed by newly-formed British team Sketchy Logic, Aviary Attorney was funded by a 2014-15 Kickstarter campaign and released on Steam in December 2015. Advertisement:
Gameplay is similar to that of the Ace Attorney series: you guide defense attorney Jayjay Falcon and his assistant Sparrowson through investigations of crime scenes and conversations with witnesses, gathering evidence that you can use while cross-examining witnesses in a trial phase.
Other characters' names are based on, but not identical to, their species names: Eric Porc the porcupine, Rupert Rabbington the rabbit, and Sparrowson the…sparrow. Then there's Séverin Cocorico the rooster, and the Demiaou family (who are cats).
Bait-and-Switch Comment: Seigneur Purrtoir set out to hire the best lawyers in town to defend his daughter — but they weren't available at such short notice, so he hired Falcon and Sparrowson because "Aviary Attorney" was first in the directory.
Golden Ending: 4B, "Égalité". The king escapes, the conspirators are the only casualties of the revolution, and their plot to turn it violent is foiled. Cocorico and Volerti vow to make up for their past misdeeds, and Beaumort plays an important part in the Second Republic. Paris is at peace, for now.
Cocorico's theme is based on the Gaillarde from Leo Delibes' incidental music to Victor Hugo 's play Le roi s'amuse. Léonie Beaumort's theme is the "Libera me" from the Fauré Requiem.
