Gowdy concluded with a message to President Trump and other Republicans – that it was now time to unify against the Democrats and worry about stopping the left’s agenda and not have a repeat of the GeorgiaSenate elections from this past January.
Gowdy ridiculed Democrats for trying to move a socialist agenda through Congress when the fate of the bill rested on the vote of a senator – Joe Manchin – who hailed from one of the most pro-Trump states in the union.
Gowdy suggested that the party in power usually suffered massive losses in the midterm election because they misinterpreted the results of the last election.
And Trey Gowdy had one message for Donald Trump that took everyone by surprise.
What did Gowdy say? Speaking on CBS "Face the Nation" Sunday, the longtime South Carolina congressman said he decided to retire for several reasons, but mostly because he enjoys fairness and justice, two attributes that have made him a "lousy" politician.
