In my mind, Iris served her sentence while Phoenix visited her regularly. Then, after a couple of years, she was released. Maya and Pearl kept in touch, but responsibilities in the village kept them away for longer periods of time. Phoenix was disbarred and taking care of Trucy, but didn't want to hold her back from rebuilding her life.

She is introduced in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Justice for All as the main rival of Phoenix Wright. Franziska became a prosecutor in Germany at the age of 13, and was undefeated during that time.

Iris Hawthorne is the twin sister of Dahlia Hawthorne. She and her sister left with their father when he chose to leave Kurain Village behind due to his poor status. The father was previously with Morgan Fey (mother of Pearl Fey).
She was imprisoned for her role in the Murder of Misty Fey but was later bail by Ethan Araya and later rekindle her relationship with Phoenix Wright and later Married Him as his Wife.
