According to the poll, Polis has a clear advantage, with 54% saying they’d back Polis and just 34% for Ganahl. In fact, at least one Republican leader in the state has admitted that the party has little chance of beating Polis.
Multiple candidates, delegates and attendees delivered a clear message at the event: They still don’t trust Colorado’s elections or the results of the 2020 presidential election.
Colorado Republicans have been looking to rebound after historic election losses in 2018 and 2020 that left all but one statewide seat in Democratic hands, including the offices of the governor, the secretary of state, the treasurer, and the attorney general.

The attorney general’s race offered voters starkly different choices. Brauchler, a career prosecutor, faced off against Weiser,a law professor and former policy adviser in the Obama White House.
Arapahoe County District Attorney George Brauchler won the Republican nomination unopposed.
Phil Weiser and Joe Salazar qualified for the Democratic primary ballot. Attorney Amy Padden did not qualify.
