Judge Gillian Abramson sentenced Normil to the maximum amount on all charges, to be served consecutively and after he completes his 25- to 30-year sentence on unrelated charges in Massachusetts.
Lamontagne said he helped Normil break in but then went back to his car, only to see the Quesadas pull into the driveway.
The prosecution relied on a largely circumstantial case that hinged on the testimony of several witnesses, who said that Normil shared details about the attack that only the perpetrator would know.
Lamontagne took a plea bargain and a five-year prison term in exchange for his testimony. He said Normil chose the home at random while looking for money for Christmas presents. Lamontagne said he helped Normil break in but then went back to his car, only to see the Quesadas pull into the driveway.
