Back when Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk burst onto the MCU scene in Daredevil: Season 1, as the towering-yet-reclusive crime lord bent on leveling Manhattan's Hell's Kitchen and rebuilding it as the neighborhood's secret savior, fans were blown away.
From a man serving hard time in a maximum security prison to a completely exonerated man in full control of both New York's top crime families - and the freakin' FBI, who he demeaned by using them as his personal security - Wilson Fisk proved himself to be the smartest and most well-prepared villain we'd ever seen.
When Fisk is defeated by Daredevil and imprisoned, Marianna leaves the country on her own. After Fisk makes a deal with the FBI to ensure Marianna would not be charged as an accessory for his crimes, she returns to New York and marries Fisk. Zurer joined the cast as Marianna in October 2014.
Daredevil was the character that started the Netflix universe of Marvel characters. If The Defenders ' pocket universe were to be compared to the MCU, then Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock was just as important to those shows as Robert Downey Jr's Tony Stark was to the movies.
The character was portrayed by Danny Johnson in Marvel's television shows Daredevil and Luke Cage for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Capture of Frank Castle Reyes appointed Christopher Roth as his lawyer, knowing that he would lose the case. When Reyes learned that Nelson and Murdock were meeting with Castle she confronted them, telling Matt Murdock to drop the case.
Samantha Reyes will appear in Daredevil Season 2, but if she looks familiar, it's because Michelle Hurd already played that character on Jessica Jones.
Leslie Shumway, a cashier who worked there, testified in court that horse betting, roulette, craps, blackjack, and birdcage (chuck-a-luck) all took place there. The profits from the Hawthorne Smoke Shop were one piece of evidence used against Capone at his trial in 1931.
Madame Gao is the most-recurring antagonist in the Netflix-original Marvel series so far, appearing in both Marvel's Daredevil and Marvel's Iron Fist. She is also the second most-recurring character in all of the series overall, behind Claire Temple.
And so as a method actor, I did what's called an effective memory. You bring an event in your life up, you recreate it, and the emotion that filled me because of that event in my life, I turned those emotions into a guttural sound that came out of my voice. And then I speak."
Brett Mahoney is a recurring character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Netflix shows, where he is portrayed by Royce Johnson. Brett makes his debut in season 1 of Daredevil.
While Karen played an important role in the first season, Deborah Ann Woll could only shoot one episode of The Punisher for season 2 due to scheduling conflicts with Daredevil, which was being filmed at the same time.
Unlike Matt, Frank never hides who he is from her, and as a result, she sees the trauma he suffered without the fog of deceit. Consequently, the Karen audiences meet in The Punisher feels quite different from the one introduced in Daredevil. The Punisher's version of the character feels best suited to the MCU.
As Murdock then asked Fisk if he was responsible for Frank Castle 's escape, Donovan advised Fisk not to answer the question. However, Fisk then responded that he was not responsible.
Donovan arranged for Johnson to visit Dillard into Ryker's, as Dillard had desperately attempted to make peace, only for Johnson to reject her mother, not wanting anything to do with the Stokes family or their career in crime.
However, when the assassination attempt on Shades failed, he requested that Donovan bring him to Ryker's Island so that he could have a one on one talk with Dillard. Once Shades had left, Donovan informed Dillard that Tilda Johnson had called and was finally ready to see her mother which Dillard accepted.
Due to Mabel's help in gaining his law degree , Donovan then became loyal to the Stokes Crime Family, willing to represent them in the court of law, despite knowing full well that they were a family of criminals who were all guilty of almost every crime which he was legally defending them for.
When Matt Murdock asked to meet with Wilson Fisk inside Ryker's Island, Fisk asked Donovan to make up a legal contract, in Braille, describing the conditions of the meeting and penalties for Murdock not conforming to those conditions.
Donovan refuses all Gwen McIver 's demands. Donovan then debated with Terence Rogers over what was owed to McIver, as he had denied Rogers' requests to gain fifty percent of the businesses, claiming that the Stokes never owed the McIver family anything.

Fisk knew that love for others created weak spots, which is why he'd isolated himself for so long. Once he felt he was truly unstoppable, he allowed himself to have a close friend in James Wesley, and then wooed Vanessa. Still, Fisk's M.O. was squeezing the relatives and loved ones of his targets.
Over time, Fisk's love for Vanessa, which he even refers to as a metaphorical prison in Season 3, becomes his biggest weakness as an all-but untouchable behind-the-scenes manipulator. But after he's arrested at the end of Season 1, she also becomes his driving purpose.
The entire reason he chose not to kill Frank Castle in prison, after failing to kill him the first time, was because he knew if he let him out, Castle would massacre all of Fisk's former cohorts. Enemies and associates alike. Castle would thin the herd dramatically.
