Throughout the 16 years that U.S. Attorney Darren LaMarca has been working in private practice at his own law firm in Clinton, he also managed to become a Municipal Court Judge and serve the City of Clinton for about five years, from 2002 to 2007. In this position, he was required to act in the interpretation, application, and enforcement of Supreme Court Rules, City ordinances, state statutes, and case law when he is to preside over municipal court sessions. Furthermore, he was expected to execute judicial duties according to the state’s laws, among other judicial duties that may be assigned by the City Council.
