Dwan Wakefield didn't kill 6-year-old Kingston Frazier, but he was on the phone with the killer, Byron McBride, in 2017 when McBride told him a child was in the vehicle he had stolen from a parking lot of Kroger's food store on I-55 North Frontage Road in Jackson.
A tearful Wakefield apologized to Kingston's mother, Ebony Archie, and the family on Monday during his sentencing hearing. "I have a 3-year-old son myself," Wakefield said.
