The primary duty of the Attorney General is to serve as legal counsel to Alabama’s state agencies, departments, and officers. In accordance with Alabama Code 35-16-1, 35-16-3 and 12-2-19, the Secretary of State is required to publish annuity tables, mortality tables, and Supreme Court orders in bound volumes of the acts of the legislature.
