It’s not the first time that Scott Strolla has faced a sexual assault allegation, court records show. In 2008, a woman sought a temporary restraining order against Strolla that accused him of drugging her before an attack. She had also filed a police report, which did not result in any charges.
Strolla told the detectives he approached the woman at Lynora’s restaurant and told her he knew her from Facebook. He also said he shared some of his breakfast pizza and told the bartender to put her and her friend’s drinks on his tab.
Strolla is accused of plying a woman by spiking her drink and then attempting to have sex with her later when she was incapacitated. After drinking with Strolla at the bar, the last thing she remembers, she testified, was that she got ill and wanted to leave. The next thing she remembered was waking up in Strolla’s apartment and being raped.
Police were able to recover deleted photos from Strolla’s phone of the woman lying naked in his bed. Strolla also told police that he never had sex with the woman, but the police found semen in her vagina.
