The Appeals Section, headed by the Solicitor General of Ohio, is composed of experts in state and federal appellate litigation. The City Prosecutor’s Office is responsible for prosecuting all misdemeanors, including all traffic and criminal cases brought before the Municipal Court for violation of criminal offenses occurring within the City. Gmoser , in his response to Kinsley's Supreme Court complaint, agreed victims should have a say in how their cases are handled. But he said prosecutors represent the interests of justice and the state, not just victims.
Kinsley denied she did anything wrong and described Gmoser's comments as a personal attack.
Kinsley said she's fine with the attorney general taking over. "That seems appropriate at this time, given Mr. Gmoser's very public comment about my anatomy and my character," she said.
