Ms. Hendon has tried numerous cases in federal court and in arbitration, frequently representing clients facing more than one government investigation at a time and parallel civil litigation. In 2017, she defended at trial in the U.S.
Ms. Hendon is ranked Band 1 by Chambers USA for White Collar Crime and Government Investigations. She was listed in the 2020 Expert Guides’ Women in Business Law Criminal Law Experts. In 2019, she was shortlisted by Chambers for its New York White-Collar Crime & Government Investigations Lawyer of the Year award.
Ms. Hendon received her undergraduate degree with Honors in English from the University of British Columbia, and her law degree from Yale University, where she edited the Yale Law Journal. An active alumnus, Ms. Hendon serves on the advisory board of the Yale Law School Center for the Study of Corporate Law, and regularly speaks at events.
Hendon is a former federal prosecutor in the Southern District of New York. In 2000, she received the United States Attorney General 's John Marshall Award, the highest award given by the Department of Justice for excellence at trial.
She is a former adjunct professor of law at Fordham University School of Law . In April 2018 she was retained to represent United States President Donald Trump. She was scheduled to speak at a Yale colloquium honoring Marvin Chirelstein on April 19.
