This page is about the music track from Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice for All & Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Trials and Tribulations. For the game mechanic itself, see Psyche-Lock. For the recurring music tracks used throughout the Ace Attorney series, see Psyche-Locks (music). "Psyche-Locks" is a music track played during Psyche-Lock gameplay that originates in …
So, I just got to the point where Aura has accused Athena of killing her own mother. 5 black psyche locks appeared and then game save. This is all at the point of saying " Athena has a dark secret like kristoph and should be treated with suspicion" and then pearl (sweet, innocent pearls) explains that after doing research, the black psyche locks could kill Athena if broken incorrectly.
IF you remember, the Black Psyche locks came up when Kristoph was asked about WHY he killed Shadi Smith/Zak Gramarye. It was here that Kristoph refused …
Black Psyche-Locks appeared when Wright asked for Kristoph's motive for killing Zak Gramarye, and this seems to imply that he was, in some sense, hiding his secrets even from himself.
two endingsApollo Justice: Ace Attorney also has two endings. Since the player is in control of Jurist No. 6, s/he decides the verdict of the final case. If "guilty" is chosen, the ending has Vera, the defendant, dying from poisoning while the verdict is never reached .
Phoenix Wright starts with five and loses one for every penalty received. The usual way to receive a penalty is by presenting irrelevant evidence on a witness's statement during a cross-examination.

During a case seven years prior to the events of Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, two months after Trials and Tribulations, he was forced to forfeit his attorney's badge after presenting evidence that, unknown to him, was forged.
Matt is the first and, so far, the only defendant in the Ace Attorney franchise that was ultimately found genuinely guilty and earned a guilty verdict rightfully. He is one of three main villains not to be in law enforcement or a government official, with the other people being Dahlia Hawthorne, and Simon Keyes.

No, they do not. While Maya is a close friend to Phoenix, and Pearl strongly ships the two, there's nothing romantic between them. Maya says she thinks of Phoenix as like a brother in Trials & Tribulations.

The Black Psyche-Lock (as seen above) is a much rarer and much more difficult variant of the Psyche-Lock that appears in the series, to date only two individuals (Kristoph Gavin and Athena Cykes) have manifested Black Psyche-Locks. Their role in the series is somewhat unclear as their function changes between the two characters. What is known is that they're described by Phoenix Wright as " Dark... cold... full of despair... " suggesting that much more intense emotions are tied to these Psyche-Locks. In Kristoph Gavin's case this emotion is likely paranoia due to the nature of his scheming and hiding of information, while for Athena Cykes' case the emotion is a deep-rooted traumatic experience which induced fear into her causing her to subconsciously block out the memory of the event.
There are currently two canonical types of Psyche-Locks in the games; Red Psyche-Locks which first appeared in Justice for All and Black Psyche-Locks which first appeared in Apollo Justice. The two locks serve different functions. In total when someone is confronted a maximum of five Psyche-Locks may manifest and are always of the same colour.
The Yellow-Orange Psyche-Lock (as seen above) is a somewhat rare Psyche-Lock which appear when someone is creating a lie through plagiarism, it is an uncommon sight because of this and effectively has two forms; Yellow and Orange. Conventional plagiarism manifests the Yellow Dominant variation of this Psyche-Lock and is broken through proving the occurance of plagiarism through evidence and profiles, sometimes also using deductive reasoning as well although less often than Red Psyche-Locks. The Orange variant however occurs through non-standard plagiarism such as identity theft, motive theft and body doubles among other things, these variants are rarer and more difficult, breaking them often requires evidence of the existence and distinction between the Psyche-Lock individual and the person or thing they're plagiarising.
The series currently consists of six main series games and five spin-offs.

The psyche locks itself is not lethal. Especially the black ones. It is the manifistation of mental blocks or in other, keeping the secrets they know, well... secret. The difference between the red and black ones is that, the red ones is consciously keeping the truth has no effect to the person if broken with evidences & bribes.
