Will Powers is an actor best known for playing the titular role in The Steel Samurai: Warrior of Neo Olde Tokyo. He was the defendant in the murder of co-star Jack Hammer, being Wright's first client since taking charge of Wright & Co. Law Offices. He was also a witness for the murder of Juan Corrida.

" Outorou " (王都楼) is a rough romanization of the English word "outlaw". It is also a reference to " ōtoro " (大とろ), a Japanese word for the fattiest portion of a bluefin tuna belly. This fish theme fits in with the Japanese name of Will Powers.
Engarde was designed so that the soft bangs that hang lightly over half his face would give him a gentle-mannered appearance, and thus contrast with his scarred face seen in his dramatic reveal.
Engarde's fancy mansion is befitting an extravagant acting superstar. Perhaps the most noticeable ornament is a giant motorbike that is hanging from the ceiling. Below the motorcycle is a table surrounded by a comfortable-looking sofa set and a fireplace. The door to the private lounge contains a pet door for Engarde's cat Shoe to pass.

Juan Corrida is the final victim of Ace Attorney: Justice for all. He was a famous actor with a well documented rivalry with Matt Engarde who was assassinated by Shelly de Killer under Engarde's orders.
Corrida is the second villainous victim in the game, with the first being Turner Grey. Corrida is far less evil than Matt Engarde, who along with Morgan Fey, is generally agreed to be the most despicable character in the game.
