2022 Short-Term Elections Positions

  1. Boulder County Elections will begin hiring in late May / early June for the June 28 Primary and then in September for the November election.
  2. Short-term, election positions (judges and workers) include vote center operations, ballot processing, computer operators, courier, and ballot reception jobs.
  3. Work hours and days vary for each position.

Hiring Process Overview

  • Per statute, for most election positions (judges), please know that our office must first hire from names provided by the Boulder County Party Chairs. We begin hiring judges after we have received recommended judge lists from the local Democratic and Republican party chairs (about 6-8 weeks out from each election).
