The Commonwealth of Virginia and the City of Lynchburg will hold a general election on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. Any voter in the city may vote in the general election for Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Commonwealth Attorney, Constitutional Officers and House of Delegates District 22 and District 23.

After applying, voters may check to see if their absentee application was received and whether their ballot was sent and received by visiting the Citizen Portal at: https://www.elections.virginia.gov/citizen-portal/

How to request a vote in Virginia?

Request Vote by Mail ballots, find voting precincts, register or update voter registration information online at https://www.elections. virginia.gov or call (434) 477-5999 to have an absentee ballot application or a voter registration application mailed.

What do you need to show at the registrar's office?

At the Registrar’s Office, you must provide your name and address and show an acceptable form of ID or sign an ID Confirmation Statement.
