When we were introduced to Kay Faraday in Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth, she was a typical assistant character but didn’t really seem to click well with Edgeworth. However, in Gyakuten Kenji 2, it’s safe to say that their relationship deepens such that it warmed my heart in a way that no previous Ace Attorney …

Grew Up... with her father. Kay Faraday is the daughter of prosecutor Byrne Faraday. She was raised by him and her “Uncle” Tyrell Badd until Byrne was murdered during a trial.
Meet Phoenix Wright, the rookie defense lawyer new to the scene with the wildest cross-examination skills in town! Take on five intriguing cases to reveal dramatic, stunning, and even comical court proceedings. Use both the touch screen to investigate the crime scenes, question witnesses and present shocking evidence.
Every single case, even the first, was connected in someway to the subsequent cases. In fact, the entire game takes place over 13 in-game days (between 03/25/2019 and 04/06/2019), so there is never really a break in the plot between each case.
No, Edgeworth and Kay don’t get together (he’s 26 and she’s 17 after all), but in this game alone, Capcom managed to show us an unbreakable assistant-prosecutor relationship that rivals Phoenix and Maya’s in the original trilogy. Saying more would give away spoilers, so I’ll just leave it at that!
The title of this sequel to Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth is left untranslated because the game was not released outside of Japan, and is thus not given an official English localization.
The nature of this game and its sequel made a direct translation more feasible than a localization, so a substantial number of names have been left unchanged. However, in series fashion, most names were altered to either sound more natural or make the pun clearer.
