I agree with Ms. Powell. If an attorney will be out of the office and not properly to deal with the due process of law it is a way to give everyone involved in the litigation that hearings or motions should be noted either before or after the notice period.

There is no RCW governing notices of absence from an attorney, nor yet any RPC's. It is a courtesy to the attorney who is absent for the other side and the clerk's office not to take determinative action while an attorney is unavailable. I have never heard of an attorney being 75% available.
