Alaska Speaker of the House Bryce Edgmon, I-Dillingham, has named Alaska Federation of Natives attorney Nicole Borromeo to the board in charge of redrawing the state’s House and Senate districts after the 2020 census.
Borromeo lives in Anchorage with her husband and four children but is from the Interior town of McGrath. She holds degrees from the University of Alaska Anchorage and the University of Washington School of Law. She has been general counsel and executive vice president of the Alaska Federation of Natives since 2014.

Nicole Daussin. Nicole’s spirit of adventure drew her to Alaska after graduating from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2019. She made her initial journey by car, accompanied by her American Akita. Once in Alaska, Nicole served as a judicial law clerk in the Superior Court at Palmer.
The move to Alaska was based on extensive research to answer the question “If we could live anywhere, where would it be.” Cindy came to Alaska because she wanted to live here. She joined the Anchorage Municipal Prosecutors Office in 2008 and was promoted to Anchorage Municipal Prosecutor where she led a team of fourteen prosecutors filing 10,000 cases a year.
She is a fierce advocate with finely honed courtroom skills and a diverse variety of legal experience. She is licensed to practice law in Alaska and Texas.
