The first trilogy of Ace Attorney games was confirmed to be coming to the Nintendo Switch at Tokyo Game Show 2018. However, that's not all. Is Capcom hacked?
Recently, Capcom was hacked into. While it's unfortunate that this data wasn't really obtained legally, the stolen information included some good news. Among Capcom's upcoming titles, there is a complication of Dai Gyakuten Saiban 1 & 2 coming to both the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Steam. There isn't anything about an Xbox One version, likely due to the Ace Attorney Trilogy selling very poorly on that console. What's interesting about this upcoming compilation is that it will be a dual language release. Yeah, that's right: the Japanese version will be playable in both Japanese and English. Since it's being translated, the must have figured it'd be a waste not to release it overseas as well. However, there are some copyright issues so some things would have to be changed. A lot of Sherlock Holmes stuff isn't public domain in the states and a handful of content creators have gotten in trouble for including him in their works.#N#Leaked screenshots show that they are making some changes to avoid these copyright issues. However, because of copyright, the western release will not be dual audio but will likely be playable in Japanese as well. The voice acting for the game seems to have been done at some studio in the U.K. It currently isn't known what studio it was. As for the rest of the game, it seems that they are going to stay true to the protagonist's Japanese heritage for this release, which is a first for the series since most change the game enough to take place in California. A lot of evidence in Japan where the game starts will still be in Japanese, with English subtitles. For the most part, a lot of the character names will stay the same. Since most of the game takes place in England, a portion of the work is already done since a lot of content has already been taken care of. The series localization director worked on the English portions of the original Japanese releases, after all. Currently, Capcom hasn't said anything but they did send out a copyright claim on leaked screenshots, so that might actually confirm that this is legit.

Just recently, the English title of Ace Attorney 6 has been announced as "Spirit of Justice" And it is planned for release in North America and Europe in September! It already has a PEGI rating (16+), but the NA version is still not rated, but based off the PEGI rating we can assume it will likely be M. There's even an English Trailer up, confirming that Sam Riegal returns as the voice of Phoenix Wright!
