Management creates a very hostile and toxic environment. Very unsupported as a new employee and no proper training. It’s learn on your own but they write you up when you make a mistake! Lots of gossip and two faced people who given the chance will turn on you to make themselves look and feel better. Worst six months of my life!

I think the Head Start is a very professional and effective agency. They follow rules to a T and expect the same from their employees. The work pace is fast and you are entitled to a 1 hour break for lunch. You get free breakfast, lunch, and snack. The benefits are amazing including health, dental, vision. Also a great 401K program.

Fun place to work

Our day would start at 5:30 a.m., come in check out your bus, fill out any paperwork necessary. Coffee up and head out. Pick up the students find out how their day has started. Some good some bad, hopefully we get everyone smiling by the time we make it school. Hardest part is seeing children struggle. The best being if you can help them.

Daily Work

I typically receive calls throughout the day from people who need assistance with mortgage foreclosure or property tax foreclosure. I get their file set up and send out the paperwork required by NEMCSA. When I am not answering the phone I am usually entering clients into the database and making sure everything is up to date.
