"Stop Trying to Be God" (stylized in all caps) is a song by American rapper Travis Scott from his third studio album Astroworld (2018). The song features additional vocals from Kid Cudi, James Blake, Philip Bailey of the band Earth, Wind & Fire and Stevie Wonder, who plays harmonica on the track as well. It was produced by Scott, J Beatzz and Mike Dean, with co-production credits going to CuBeatz
The lawsuit seeks up to $2 billion in damages from a long list of defendants, including Scott, Drake, event organizers Live Nation, Apple Music and NRG Stadium.
The latest blockbuster lawsuit comes on the heels of Houston attorney Tony Buzbee’s $750 million suit filed on behalf of 125 victims also against Scott, Drake, Live Nation, Epic Records, Apple Music and other entities.
A spokesperson for Scott told Fox News Digital last week that he is still “actively exploring routes of connection” with families affected by the tragedy.
The two first collaborated on Travis' sophomore release Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight, with Cudi contributing to both “way back” and “through the late night.”. Travis then appeared on “Baptized in Fire” from Cudi’s Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin'. This marks their 4th collaboration.
Travis teased the collaboration between him and Stevie Wonder on Instagram and expressed in a 2018 interview with Billboard that a Stevie Wonder feature was one of his goals with the album:
