Roger is a 1,612 year-old (as of 2021), grey space alien living with the Smith family, around whom the show often revolves.
History. Also according to "Frannie 911", Roger has been on earth for over 60 years, having arrived in 1947 as a result of being tricked, led to believe he was "The Decider" in whose hands the fate of mankind rested, when in fact he was serving the role of a crash test dummy.
It has been shown several times that Roger is attracted to Steve. Steve thought Roger was Elisha Wilkner who later went on 7 dates; in reality 9 since Roger roofied Steve on 2 of them and later found out by Roger that is was her. It's been hinted that Roger raped Stan in The Great Space Roaster.
In "Great Space Roaster" it is reviled that Roger is on the following drugs: cocaine, heroin, ecstasy, crack, steroids, and several more.
Roger runs away after he and Stan have an argument. Once the CIA finds out, they organize a search team in order to find him and bring him in for questioning. So now Stan must either kill Roger or choose friendship over his career.
When Roger and Gertie are visiting the White House and are in the Oval Office, Gertie tells Roger about all the good and important things that happened behind that desk and Roger says, "and under it too", referencing the Bill Clinton/Lewinsky scandal.
Roger Smith, or Roger the Alien, has resided with the Smith's since he was rescued by Stan from Area 51. Over the years he has developed a number of personalities that he uses to interact with the world without revealing he's an alien. These personalities more often than not are also used in his terrible schemes, which we're going to explore today as we look at a few of the worst things Roger has ever done.
In the fifth season episode Merlot Down Dirty Shame, Roger and Francine Smith are having a night of wine tasting that leads to Roger becoming incredibly drunk and kissing Francine. The next day Francine tells Roger she's going to tell Stan about the incident, which makes Roger fearful due to Stan's insane jealousy.
In the episode Stannie Get Your Gun, Roger sets out to convince Steve that he is adopted after Steve steals Roger's cookie.
Roger's ability to manipulate the Smiths (and pretty much every human around him) is on full display in Old Stan in the Mountain. Roger tricks Francine into going on a trip with him to a dance contest, though it is soon revealed that they were going to Roger's ex-wife's funeral.
One of Roger's worst personas is Ricky Spanish, a "lying, thieving sociopath" who Roger buried and forgot about until finding his costume. Roger himself credits Ricky Spanish as the "worst persona I've ever done," and the costume even takes Stan over in the later episode Persona Assistant.

When the search party threw a grenade into the room they were in Roger managed to pull Stan to safety. This led Stan to grant Roger mercy and take him home.
Steve was absolutely thrilled to have his own alien but the rest of the family was horrified by him to start with. Throughout a very short period of time however they grew used to him and Roger soon became one of the family.
