Edit: 2% raise for staff and senior managers, 5% for seniors and managers.
PwC please stop forcing socializing and other difference makers thru your ditzy HR initiatives crap. I’m just here to get my Cpa license work 2 years and bounce. None of this shit makes me a better auditor and just slows down my work - from a new hire
My acting senior on my project gives me way too much work to do and then gets pushy when I don’t finish everything she wants me to. Currently, I have been working through lunch and frankly don’t take breaks at all and it is getting to the point of me burning out and feeling beyond unmotivated to do anything else.
Highly interested to know from anyone’s experiences/ knowing of others’ experiences.
I started with one of the Big4 last year July. Everything has been going pretty well with the exception of trying to get my CPA done. There has been a lot of personal life changes since I started with the company that have made things difficult with getting my CPA done.
Recently got a full time offer and I’ll be starting during this upcoming busy season. I’ve never done any internships before, so I’m worried that everything might take a bit to learn especially with the chaos of busy season. Does the big 4 generally let people go if for whatever reason you’re not a star employee within a couple weeks of starting?
My girlfriend has been looking for a position for a few months since we graduated college this past May and hasn't had any luck ( including applying to the firm itself). I am going to put in a referral but don't know if I'm supposed to outright say this is my girlfriend, or it doesn't matter?
I'm getting ready to start in Big 4 Audit in NYC this fall, and while I'm expecting crazy long hours, I just wanted to hear from anyone working in the NYC offices what their actual experiences and hours have been like so I can have a better idea going into it.
Does KPMG have a wellness or well being fund? I know that Deloitte and EY does but don’t think I’ve heard anything about KPMGs?
Recently had an internship with one of the big4 and have a full time offer next fall. Was thinking of applying to other firms (mid-tier and other big4) for summer 22 internship, just to network and see what is out there. Has anyone done this? Is this a good idea or should I just be grateful I have a offer for next year?
