Los AngelesThe localization of the games adapts the story to take place in an alternate-universe Los Angeles in which Japanese culture has been allowed to flourish and blend into American culture, instead of being met with fierce historical resistance as in real life.
While the other Ace Attorney games take place in more modern times and may have easier work-arounds when it comes to translating for another culture, The Great Ace Attorney takes place partially in 19th-century Japan.Jun 5, 2021
In the English-language translations, the story is set in Los Angeles, and various characters travel to and from Europe, usually Germany. In the original Japanese versions, the events mainly take place in Japan, and the destination of most foreign travel is the U.S.
The "present-day" episodes of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Trials and Tribulations take place between 2018 and 2019, so Memories could take place in 2013 or 2014. A natural solution would be to consider Turnabout Beginnings, which takes place "6 Years Ago".

Story. Phoenix Wright belongs to a Japanese bloodline of lawyers dating back from the Meiji era, something he is currently unaware of. In his childhood, he made friends with Larry Butz and Miles Edgeworth.
Phoenix Wright is a starter playable character in Super Smash Bros. For Nintendo Switch. He is the main protagonist of the Ace Attorney series, and was announced when the Ace Attorney Trilogy for the Nintendo Switch was revealed.
As Ace Attorney moved onto the Nintendo DS, then onto the 3DS, and Wii, the Nintendo console (and Wii) offered more memory usage in the cards (and disc). This meant, in later games, Phoenix was given those blue eyes some of the Udon artists had always wanted to give him!Apr 10, 2018
Will Powers is an actor best known for playing the titular role in The Steel Samurai: Warrior of Neo Olde Tokyo. He was the defendant in the murder of co-star Jack Hammer, being Wright's first client since taking charge of Wright & Co. Law Offices. He was also a witness for the murder of Juan Corrida.
Early brainstorming suggestions for Phoenix's name included "Cole" and "Wilton", but "Phoenix" was chosen as a name that would "stand out". The nickname "Nick" (used by his partner, Maya Fey) was chosen based on its believability and similarity to the sound of "Phoenix".

So, the dating of certain events is potentially ambiguous, but evidence is provided to make it fairly unambiguous. The problem is, this approach creates some major conflicts with the no-birthday principle, the logic of the ages given in character profiles, by causing some characters to age one year less than they should. Here are a few examples:
Things start to become potentially ambiguous when considering the fact that the first three games cross over the new year. This fact becomes an issue in dating "flashback" cases and time skips. Due to the aforementioned no-birthday principle, this affects characters' years of birth as well (more on that later).
The Ace Attorney site Court Records uses multiple timelines: one for the original trilogy, and one for each subsequent game. However, ambiguities and potential contradictions cause difficulties in attempting to construct a single unified timeline for the entire series. This can cause problems when attempting to determine the age of one character relative to another.
