The localization of the game was outsourced to Bowne Global, and handled by writer Alexander O. Smith, who was unfamiliar with the Ace Attorney series before working on it, and editor Steve Anderson. While the Japanese version of the game takes place in Japan, the localized version is set in the United States. Normally the setting would be left vague while cultural differences the target audience would not understand would be adapted. Because one of the episodes involves time zones, however, they had to specify where the game takes place and chose the United States without thinking a lot about it. One day, Larry Butz was in an apartment waiting for his girlfriend Cindy Stone who just came back from Paris. Cindy took too long to return and there was a blackout so Larry decided to leave the apartment and come back another time. However, Larry forgot to lock the door on his way out.
This Maya is the younger girl, Maya Fey, Mia 's younger sister, who is shocked to find her bloody name written on a piece of paper. Phoenix then notices a young woman across the alley presumingly phoning for the police. Just then, the police arrive and, seeing the evidence written on the paper, take Maya into custody.
During the filming of a new movie, the protagonist Jack Hammer accidentally pushed another actor onto a spiked fence near a trailer in Studio Two, killing him. The producer, Dee Vasquez, covered up the incident, but blackmailed Hammer into working as bit-part characters for little pay.
Hammer resolved to kill his blackmailer. He drugged a fellow actor, Will Powers, with sleeping pills, then put on Powers' costume and headed to Studio Two to kill Vasquez, managing to fool the security guard along the way.
It took me a few tries to fully get into this game, but once I did it had its full grasp on me. Around 30h into this rpg masterclass and I'm having a blast. Here's why I consider it so good.
