Murdock revealed that their relationship did not work out, and then told Nelson he would stay at the office preparing their tenement case. Nelson said goodbye, and also that the girl was the losing something by not pursuing a relationship with Murdock, and then left the office.
Fans were sure that Foggy wouldn't make it to the end of the show though. While the comics saw Foggy fake his own death in order to protect himself and his family, the show has Nelson alive and well, continuing to work as a lawyer.
Before he can flee the city, Murdock ambushes him, wearing the new armor formed for him by Potter. After a brutal fight, Murdock defeats Fisk and leaves him to the police. With Fisk arrested, Marianna leaves the city. Murdock, Page, and Nelson celebrate their success and resume their work.
The highly-publicized trial ended abruptly when Castle furiously and loudly declared that he was guilty on the stand. The loss of the case, combined with increasing tensions between Murdock and Nelson over Murdock's secret life as the vigilante Daredevil, caused the lawyers to shutter the office.
Since leaving Nelson & Murdock, Foggy has cut his hair short into a more corporate slicked-back appearance, and he and Marci are back to dating full-time. He is introduced in the first episode, where it is revealed that Claire hired him to defend Luke Cage and clear him of all his charges.
BullseyeLater, during a fight between Daredevil and Bullseye, Karen is murdered by Bullseye when she moves to intercept a billy-club thrown at Daredevil's head and is impaled in the heart.
