Apr 30, 2019 · Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy hit digital storefronts early this month. If you’re not familiar with the series, it’s a great jumping-on point: as legal eagle Phoenix Wright, you’ll crack 14 cases while butting heads with rival prosecutor Miles Edgeworth, investigating crime scenes with your partner Maya Fey, and generally doing nothing with any basis in actual …
“It was you who screamed!” Miles cries out, grief spiking in his voice. ... He was an attorney. You wanted to be just like him, I remember ... You’ve done it. You’ve saved me and others like me. You’re a real ace attorney.” “Yeah, yeah, I have.” They stood in silence, watching the night sky. It’s almost News Years but they ...
Episode 1: The Adventure of the Blossoming Attorney was the first episode of The Great Ace Attorney 2: Resolve. Susato Mikotoba, under the guise of Ryutaro Naruhodo, takes the defense attorney's bench to defend her friend, Rei Membami, who was accused of murdering Jezaille Brett. Susato Mikotoba stood in front of the grave of Kazuma Asogi. She mentioned how …
I feel like this is really something from Japanese culture, it's just a somewhat common trope in manga/anime too. In the Japanese version of Professor Layton, Flora, who is clearly a kid, considers herself "the Professor's bride candidate", and the letter from the start of the game implies that whoever "wins the Golden Apple" will become her suitor.

Manfred von Karma I knew then... it was destiny. The DL-6 Incident refers to the murder of Gregory Edgeworth that occurred in the elevator of the District Court of Los Angeles in the final days of 2001.
Maya felt that she was useless to Wright without her channeling abilities, so she left to catch a train back to Kurain Village after leaving a note for him to explain her actions.
The IS-7 Incident refers to a murder that took place in the mansion of Jeff Master on December 24, 2000. It directly led to the DL-6 Incident and indirectly affected the SS-5 Incident. The incident revolved around the trial of a famous television chef, Jeff Master, who had been accused of killing Isaac Dover.
Matt is the first and, so far, the only defendant in the Ace Attorney franchise that was ultimately found genuinely guilty and earned a guilty verdict rightfully. He is one of three main villains not to be in law enforcement or a government official, with the other people being Dahlia Hawthorne, and Simon Keyes.

He believes in her just because she's Maya, not because her case is easy, not because she asked him to, but because he wants to. This is the depth of their bond at this point. Phoenix unconditionally believes in Maya's innocence; that's something that he sticks to for the rest of the series.
Phoenix has only had one girlfriend in his life: Dahlia Hawthorne. And that was basically the textbook definition of “unhealthy relationship.” Phoenix became dangerously obsessed with her, she tried to kill him, and he was secretly in love with her sister the whole time.Mar 5, 2022

Phoenix Wright starts with five and loses one for every penalty received. The usual way to receive a penalty is by presenting irrelevant evidence on a witness's statement during a cross-examination.
According to that same leaked roadmap, Ace Attorney 7 was planned to launch in Q3 2021. However, that same document also listed Great Ace Attorney for a Q1 2021 launch and that released on July 27, 2021.Mar 28, 2022
At the defendant lobby, Gumshoe told Wright that the police had found the caretaker, and that he was going to testify. When the trial began, von Karma was strangely cooperative of the process, answering the judge's questions and even telling Wright to cross-examine the witness. The caretaker testified that he figured that he had nothing to do with the incident, and he had gone to buy food for Polly. Wright ignored this excuse and insisted that he did have something to do with the case.
Trial. Phoenix Wright's opponent was Manfred von Karma, Edgeworth's mentor, who had never lost a single case in his 40-year career. Von Karma quickly assumed control over the judge and the courtroom. First on the stand was Detective Gumshoe, who testified that Edgeworth was arrested on the spot.
At the Detention Center, Maya told Wright that she knew she had to save the trial, hence her outburst. She assured him that, as soon as the paperwork was done, she would be free to go. However, her spiritual powers were still weak from not training, so it was impossible to summon her sister Mia Fey for help.
In this episode, Phoenix's rival in the courtroom, Miles Edgeworth, is arrested for the murder of a former defense attorney. Phoenix takes to his defense, and the veteran prosecutor opposing him is Manfred von Karma, Edgeworth's mentor. In resolving the case, Phoenix reveals a connection to the unsolved DL-6 Incident from fifteen years prior - a case that greatly impacted Miles due to the victim's identity. This episode also reflects upon the Class trial, an event going back to when Miles, Phoenix and Larry Butz were all in school, and motivated Phoenix into becoming a defense attorney.
In his testimony, the caretaker claimed to have seen a boat after hearing a gunshot. After hearing the gunshot, he had seen a man walking by him near the shop. He also claimed that the fog was thick, but that he had seen his face nonetheless. When Wright questioned this statement, the caretaker claimed that the man was Edgeworth, and that he was certain of this. von Karma had lured the defense into a trap. Wright's objections were overruled, and Edgeworth was declared guilty. Just then, Larry Butz burst in, demanding to testify about what he had witnessed on the night of the murder. Despite von Karma's protests, the request was granted with a short recess.
While incarcerated in the detention center, Edgeworth says, "So, you've come to laugh at the fallen attorney?", which mirrors what April May says in Turnabout Sisters while in the detention center herself ("Have you come to laugh? Yes, laugh at the fallen Miss May!"). Edgeworth also says a similar line in Bridge to the Turnabout when Wright encounters him after an earthquake causes him to let a defendant escape from him.
