The Litigation Profile Suite allows the researcher to examine judges, attorneys, and expert witnesses. Access by selecting the Litigation Profile suite from the upper-left drop down menu on Lexis (the grid icon).
Bloomberg Law provides litigation analytics for judges. Select Litigation & Dockets and then Litigation Analytics from the Bloomberg Law homepage. Here's an example of the information found there:
Westlaw Edge provides litigation analytics for judges and attorneys. Select Litigation Analytics from Specialty Areas under Content Types. Then select Judges from the dropdown menu next to the search bar. Enter the name of the judge into the search bar.

It is important to know the judge’s background on a case so that you can use your time as effectively, both in court and while you are preparing for a case. If a judge has been involved in similar cases, you can provide a brief summary rather than providing extensive background information and spend more time on your argument.
