Crusading Lawyer: Wants to be this and does his best to fill the role. He takes the revelation that Caterline Demiaou was guilty very hard. Despair Event Horizon: In 4A, Cocorico's death transforms him from Crusading Lawyer to a Broken Bird ready to destroy the entire corrupt system.
A successful and pompous public prosecutor. Seems to have a love of philosophy and a hobby of humiliating Falcon. The Atoner: Formerly an Amoral Attorney, he's now devoted to justice. Badass Bookworm: A peerless prosecutor, more than capable of holding his own in a fight, and can quote Voltaire from memory.
An Arm and a Leg: He is missing either his left or both his hands (it's never stated if his right hand is missing or if he keeps it tucked inside his sleeve). This becomes a plot point when he's framed for murder in 4C and a left handprint is found on the body.
Kleptomaniac Hero: Constantly grabbing trash and robbing witness, much to Falcon's bafflement. Lonely at the Top: Downplayed in 4A. Sparrowson's finally a lawyer instead of an assistant and a drop-out, but without Falcon by his side, he's not sure what to do with himself.
Judge Maxime is known for being attentive and even-handed. Accidental Misnaming: Can't be bothered to remember Sparrowson's name. Identity Amnesia: Believed he was an accountant for a short time after getting pushed into the Sienne. Put on a Bus: Vanishes after the first case due to "falling down the stairs".
And in keeping with Quierdo's role, it is a stereotypically Spanish piece of music written by a Frenchman.
Honor Before Reason: He views helping Falcon arrest King Louie as this, but he can't help but go along with it out of guilt. He also refuses to shoot first on Falcon in 4A , despite believing him to be the Viridian Killer and being in a duel with the guy that he has no interest in being in.
