Yes, all the characters are well-introduced and the plot of the individual cases are completely separate from the previous games. You won't be missing anything critical by not having played the other games. From what I hear, you could, but you …

So I wanted to play this part of ace attorney, and I cannot find a ROM for it. So I thought, im gonna but Nintendo and a game for it. Nope. I checked amazon and google whatsoever, and nothing. Is there any way to play it? I've seen it's on apple store, but I don't own any apple products, and I don't plan to :/. It's a digital only game.
BigTheBrat 7 years ago #2. You can only buy the DLC case after you've completed the first case. It might be awkward, but if you want, you can just complete the first case now. The first case is kinda short and the DLC case is longer so it'll last you longer on the trip. The best time to play the DLC is either between Case 2 and Case 3 or after ...

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies (逆転裁判 5, Gyakuten Saiban 5; lit. " Turnabout Trial 5 ") is the fifth installment of the Gyakuten Saiban series, and the eighth title overall in the Ace Attorney series of text adventure video games. Dual Destinies takes the main series to the Nintendo 3DS for the first time, preceded by the title Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. Phoenix Wright returns as the main protagonist, and his design has been changed to reflect his maturation and greater sense of comfort compared to his last cases as a lawyer eight years prior. Dual Destinies features a 3D environment, instead of the 2D sprites and backgrounds of previous games. The game also features a fully orchestral soundtrack.
Dual Destinies takes the main series to the Nintendo 3DS for the first time, preceded by the title Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. It was formally announced with a partial logo in Japan on January 29, 2012, alongside Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy HD as part of the Gyakuten Saiban 10th Anniversary Event.
Series creator Shu Takumi originally intended for the series to end at Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Trials and Tribulations and later Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney. However, he later expressed in interviews that he was reconsidering his decision to end his involvement in the series due to the positive fan reaction that the series has gained over the years. In one particular interview with VideoGamer.com at E3 2010, Takumi expressed an interest in taking the Ace Attorney series to the Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 's newest portable game console. This eventually came to fruition with Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney .
Justice decides to take a leave of absence to investigate the case on his own, leaving it up to Phoenix Wright and Athena Cykes to defend Clay Terran's mentor, Solomon Starbuck.
Another notable absence was regular character designer Tatsuro Iwamoto, who opted to take a break from the series and was replaced by Takuro Fuse. Dual Destinies also features a 3D environment, instead of the 2D sprites and backgrounds of previous games. The game also features a fully orchestral soundtrack.
The development team for the game was similar to that of Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth and Gyakuten Kenji 2; Motohide Eshiro returned as producer, Takeshi Yamazaki was the scenario director, and the soundtrack was composed by Noriyuki Iwadare.

The rest of the spinoffs are either not available on Android, or are only available in Japanese. You can choose to go about these games your own way. Some of these titles are available on the 3DS store, and there are allready full translations of the japanese exclusives on the internett.
Contrary to common belief, the mobile versions of the games play out the exact same way as on PC! If you have allready finished the Ace Attorney Trilogy, the controls should feel just about the same to what you've allready experienced, a simple point and click visual novel. The games never encounters any events where you'd need multiple fingers or other things you only can do on mobile, so no need to worry.

I am on the newest 3ds version and newest luma 3ds version as of now. When I log into Pokémon bank though it continually gives my the error code 022-5515 and just says an error occurred and to try again later if not, contact them. But I continually retried it and I have bad feelings about contacting Nintendo with a hacked 3ds.
