Ace Attorney Courtroom Argument Generators refers to several meme generators that allow users to create custom Ace Attorney scenes. Starting with the objection.lol generator created in April 2019, the trend received further development with the Reddit generator objection-bot, Twitter bot @aceCourtBot and Discord and Telegram bots.
Precursor
The trend of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney parodies started with Phoenix Wrong, a series of Flash animation parodies of Ace Attorney courtroom arguments posted to Newgrounds and YouTube starting in 2006 (examples shown below, left and right).
Objection.lol
On April 12th, 2019, Twitter user @HappySylveon created objection.lol. [1] [2] The website allowed users to create simple Objection! animated scenes with Phoenix Wright, Miles Edgeworth and other characters from the video game series Ace Attorney.
Reddit Bot
On January 17th, 2021, developer Micah Price debuted objection-bot, [15] an open-source bot able to convert Reddit comment threads into Ace Attorney parodies (example video shown below). On February 16th, v.1.0.0 of the bot was released on GitHub. [16]
Ace Attorney Casing Tool
This is a case maker developed by MaxDeBy which allows a handful of features from the series, including the newer games, which emulate the gameplay a bit closer than PyWright or AAO did. The best part is you won't need to use a browser or write any lines of real code to use this! DOWNLOAD
PYWRIGHT
PyWright is a case scripting system developed by saluk. It's general goals are - easy to use, cross-platform, many features, close but not exact emulation of regular games, and in general a system that is not too painful or too constricting to use.
UCANT
UCANT is an adventure VN engine for people who like to program, but also like having tools to make that easier. It can be a bit harder to use than the other casemakers (PyWright, AAO, and PWLib), but it does have some conveniences, especially when it comes to making custom user interfaces. DOWNLOAD
PWLib
PWLib, developed by KSA Technology, uses AIGE to allow you to create own Phoenix Wright cases. You can enter your own custom characters, cross examine, present evidence, even hunt around your own crafted crime scenes! Because PWLib is a more advanced case maker, it is a bit complex to work with. Supports: All GBA game features.
ACE ATTORNEY ONLINE
Ace Attorney Online is a web-based case maker that enables you to create, play and share cases from anywhere, just by opening the site in your web browser. Most features from the original games (including cross-examinations, investigations, etc.) are available and made as easy to use as possible through an intuitive interface.
