The Suffolk County Pro Bono Project (PBP) is a joint project of the Suffolk County Bar Association and Nassau/Suffolk Law Services. The PBP is an innovative, pro bono program designed to expand access to the legal system for the indigent of Suffolk County. The PBP clients have varied civil law issues such as family law, consumer, uninsured negligence defense, bankruptcy, wills and estates, etc. The PBP staff screens clients for eligibility, identifies the legal issues of each case, and refers clients to appropriate counsel.
