If you wish to request a refund or appeal an assessment or determination, a petition must be filed with the Board of Appeals. You can file a petition electronically at www.boardofappeals.state.pa.us. This is an informal process in which both the attorney and client present their positions before a neutral third party who decides the matter for them.
