Phoenix has only had one girlfriend in his life: Dahlia Hawthorne. And that was basically the textbook definition of “unhealthy relationship.” Phoenix became dangerously obsessed with her, she tried to kill him, and he was secretly in love with her sister the whole time.
Trucy Wright is a character in the Ace Attorney series. She is Apollo Justice's assistant and half-sister, and Phoenix Wright's adopted daughter in the fourth game Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney.
Early brainstorming suggestions for Phoenix's name included "Cole" and "Wilton", but "Phoenix" was chosen as a name that would "stand out". The nickname "Nick" (used by his partner, Maya Fey) was chosen based on its believability and similarity to the sound of "Phoenix".

After completing his training under Mia Fey, Phoenix joins the Fey & Co. Law Offices as a defense attorney. However, shortly after his first case, Mia is murdered, after which Phoenix takes over the offices. For the next three years the offices were known as the Wright & Co. Law Offices where he worked out of, with Maya often helping as his assistant. Phoenix finally got his chance to "save" Edgeworth, finally meeting him in the courtroom. He managed to break Edgeworth's perfect record and successfully defend him in the murder of Hammond. After this, Edgeworth and Phoenix's friendship was renewed and the two of them come to each others aid many times after this.
He has always said his reasons for wanting to get into to law were to help defend those who couldn't defend themselves, as well as to help his friend, Edgeworth .
Phoenix Age 21. Phoenix originally studied art at Ivy University and, in his 3rd year, he began to date Dahlia Hawthorne whom he met at the courthouse library. Whilst studying art, Phoenix was also considering to be a lawyer at this point, and had begun studying it on the side.
Phoenix works at a Russian restaurant called the Borscht Bowl Club where he plays piano. However, he isn't very good at playing and doesn't take requests.
Phoenix has no known blood relatives other than his grandfather, a defense attorney named Rynosuke Narah udo who was ali ve during the Meiji Age , happening during the late 1800's and early 1900's. However, after the events seven years prior to Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, he adopts the now orphaned Trucy, raising her as his daughter. After Phoenix was disbarred he became friends with another defense attorney, Kristoph Gavin, the only one on the board who pleaded his case. However, this turned out to be a false friendship, as Kristoph was only keeping him around so as to keep an eye on everyone involved in the case where Phoenix lost his badge, and Phoenix because he suspected him of being involved with the false evidence that cost him his badge.
In the sixth game in the series, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice, Phoenix travels to the Kingdom of Khura'in, where he reunites with Maya Fey, and discovers that defense attorneys are reviled throughout the kingdom, having a reputation of abiding criminals.

After clearing his name, Phoenix retakes the bar exam, regaining his badge and once again becoming a defense attorney. He also retains Apollo Justice as a protégé, and takes newcomer Athena Cykes under his wing as the newest junior attorney for the Wright Anything Agency.
Phoenix Wright's signature mannerisms, such as finger-pointing and cries of "Objection!", have become well-known, and were parodied in episodes of anime such as The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, No Game No Life and Maria Holic.
Ace Attorney video games. In the first game, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Phoenix must contend with the loss of his mentor and fellow defense attorney Mia Fey. Throughout the game, Phoenix is hired to defend various people of murder, including his friend Larry Butz and Mia's younger sister Maya Fey.
While a college student at Ivy University, Phoenix is accused of murder and successfully defended by a defense attorney named Mia Fey, who finds the true culprit to be Phoenix's apparent girlfriend and Mia's first cousin, Dahlia Hawthorne. After passing the bar exam, Phoenix becomes a defense attorney himself under Mia's law firm, Fey & Co. Following Mia's murder, Phoenix takes over the law firm, naming it Wright and Co., and also takes Mia's sister, a spirit medium named Maya, under his wing. Maya becomes Phoenix's assistant and legal aide, assisting him by setting him up with clients, and by searching for information and clues during cases. As the years pass, Phoenix takes on several cases to prove the innocence of those wrongly accused of murder, developing a name and reputation for himself. He also helps out Maya with the well-being of her younger cousin, Pearl, after her mother's arrest. However, in one case, he inadvertently presents forged evidence to the court, not knowing it was forged until it was too late, and is forced to turn in his attorney's badge. Adopting a young girl named Trucy Enigmar as his daughter, Phoenix sets up the Wright Talent Agency, turning to playing piano and poker games for a source of income.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is a visual novel adventure game developed by Capcom Production Studio 4 and published by Capcom. It was released in 2001 for the Game Boy Advance in Japan and has been ported to multiple platforms.
Phoenix Wright has been credited with helping to popularise visual novels in the Western world. Vice Magazine credits Phoenix Wright with popularising the visual novel mystery format, and notes that its success anticipated the resurgence of point-and-click adventure games as well as the international success of Japanese visual novels. According to Danganronpa director Kazutaka Kodaka, Phoenix Wright ' s success in North America was due to how it distinguished itself from most visual novels with its gameplay mechanics, which Danganronpa later built upon and helped it also find success in North America.
The fourth game, Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, which features the new protagonist Apollo Justice, was released in 2007. The fifth game, Dual Destinies, was released in 2013, and a sixth game, Spirit of Justice, was released in 2016. Two spin-off games starring Miles Edgeworth, Ace Attorney Investigations and Ace Attorney Investigations 2, were released in 2009 and 2011, and two featuring Phoenix's ancestor Ryūnosuke Naruhodō, The Great Ace Attorney: Adventures and The Great Ace Attorney 2: Resolve, were released in 2015 and 2017. A crossover with the Professor Layton series, titled Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, was released in 2012.
The localization of the game was outsourced to Bowne Global, and handled by writer Alexander O. Smith, who was unfamiliar with the Ace Attorney series before working on it, and editor Steve Anderson. While the Japanese version of the game takes place in Japan, the localized version is set in the United States. Normally the setting would be left vague while cultural differences the target audience would not understand would be adapted. Because one of the episodes involves time zones, however, they had to specify where the game takes place and chose the United States without thinking a lot about it. This became an issue in later games, where the Japanese setting was more obvious. Bowne Global staff handled all the voice roles in the localized version; Takumi had wanted to do the English voice for Phoenix, but Ben Judd handled it.
A crossover with the Professor Layton series, titled Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, was released in 2012. A manga based on the game, written by Kenji Kuroda and drawn by Kazuo Maekawa, premiered in 2006 in Bessatsu Young Magazine.
A manga series premiered in 2006, a film adaptation of the game, titled Ace Attorney, premiered in 2012, and an anime series adaptation began airing in 2016.

The judge presided over his trial, with rookie defense attorney Apollo Justice representing Wright and veteran prosecutor Winston Payne prosecuting him. Although the case appeared to be a simple one at first, Wright soon turned the tables by accusing Justice's mentor and co-counsel, Kristoph Gavin, of the murder.
The judge appears in the fighting game Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 as one of Phoenix Wright's Level 1 Hyper Combos during "Courtroom Mode", Nightmare Judge, in which a shadowy giant version of himself (similar to his appearance in Wright's nightmare in The Lost Turnabout) appears while saying, "Order in the court!" He then smashes his gavel down on Wright and his opponent while saying, "Objection overruled!" While both battling characters are knocked down by this, only Wright's opponent takes damage, although Wright is knocked out of "Courtroom Mode" back to "Investigative Mode".
Wright would later be disbarred for presenting forged evidence.
The judge has appeared in all main series Ace Attorney games to date. In fact, the judge has appeared in the second most cases in the series as a whole with 24, after Phoenix Wright with 26. On a side note, Phoenix Wright is the only other character to have appeared in every main series Ace Attorney game.
For the trial of Iris in the murder of Elise Deauxnim, the judge's younger brother oversaw the first half of the trial due to Edgeworth's machinations. However, the older brother soon returned for the second half due to the younger brother falling ill, just as Phoenix Wright was returning to the case against prosecutor Godot. It was eventually revealed that "Elise Deauxnim" was actually Misty Fey (who had gone missing more than 15 years prior ), and that "Godot" (whose real identity was Diego Armando) was her real killer.
Three months after the Nine-Tails Vale incident, Wright finally regained his badge, and the judge presided over his first trial in eight years in an unprecedented case with an orca as the defendant, accused of murdering Jack Shipley.

c. May 3: Phoenix adopts Trucy Enigmar, who is renamed Trucy Wright and converts the Wright & Co. Law Offices into the Wright Talent Agency.
Little mention is made of Phoenix Wright's direct biological family, other than a passing mention of his mother, and the fact that he has no siblings. Ryunosuke Naruhodo, a defense attorney who lived in Japan during the Meiji period, was an ancestor of his.
Main article: Turnabout Trump. At 15. Seven years after his disappearance, Zak Gramarye visited Phoenix Wright at the Borscht Bowl Club as Shadi Smith. He gave Phoenix his will, which gave Trucy the rights to Magnifi's magic tricks.
Two weeks later, Phoenix Wright called Trucy Enigmar to his office to discuss where she would live. Wright searched for relatives of Trucy to no avail, so he took her in and raised her as his own child. Trucy converted Phoenix's office into the Wright Talent Agency and held magic performances for money.
Phoenix sent the two to investigate three crimes that had occurred. It would turn out that all three were connected to a murder, and Justice took the case for the defendant. Trucy taught Justice about her ability to perceive tension in witnesses, and Justice found that he also had the ability and that it was somehow much stronger as well. With the help of this newly discovered ability, Justice won the case.
While Trucy has gained new animations in her subsequent appearances in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies and in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Spirit of Justice, she has also "lost" a few. In Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, she would occasionally show a worried expression, while at other times she would show a serious expression with her cape covering most of her body. These animations were not seen in any subsequent game to date. Due to her not being a co-counsel in her subsequent appearances, those animations were removed as well. Her animations with Mr. Hat were also "lost" temporarily, until they made a brief reappearance in the end credits of Spirit of Justice.
However, his real purpose at the restaurant was as an undefeated poker player in its basement. The agency was renamed as the Wright Anything Agency when the agency took up law again with Wright hiring Apollo Justice as the agency's lawyer. At this point, only Mia Fey's law books and her plant Charley gave any hint as to the agency's original purpose.
The Wright Anything Agency is a law office and talent agency specializing in criminal law located near People Park in Los Angeles, with the nearest medical facility being the Hickfield Clinic. The office consists of renowned defense attorney Phoenix Wright, teenage magician Trucy Wright, and rookie defense attorney Athena Cykes .
During her career as a defense attorney, Mia Fey established a small law firm called Fey & Co. Law Offices. In these offices, she stored records of her investigations of Redd White, among other files. Fey also bought an old model PC, but she only used it for e-mail and nothing else. According to Phoenix Wright, who became employed as a trainee there, the firm made "a good bit of money" despite its size. In 2016, Mia Fey was murdered, and when Mia's sister Maya Fey stood trial for the murder, Wright took her case and cleared the charges against Maya and then himself. Wright then assumed control of the offices by Mia Fey's wishes, and the firm became known as "Wright & Co . Law Offices".
After Phoenix Wright was disbarred for unknowingly presenting forged evidence, he adopted Trucy , who re-established the offices as the Wright Talent Agency and supported herself and Wright using her talents as a professional magician. Wright became a pianist at the Borscht Bowl Club, but was a terrible player.
However, his real purpose at the restaurant was as an undefeated poker player in its basement. The agency was renamed as the Wright Anything Agency when the agency took up law again with Wright hiring Apollo Justice as the agency's lawyer.
A year later, once Phoenix regained his attorney's badge, he recruited Athena Cykes, forming a formidable trio of lawyers. However, the team would be broken up the following year, when Justice left the agency in order to stay in the Kingdom of Khura'in and run his own law office .

At the time of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Phoenix is a rookie defense attorney who usually accepts murder cases, attempting to exonerate his clients when there is seemingly incontrovertible evidence and testimony against them. Described as "goofy and single-minded", he often encounters unusual situations. Rather than simply arguing his case, Phoenix uses detective skills to gather relevant evidence and investigate the crime scene.

Phoenix Wright has generally been praised by critics for being a likeable character with a realistic profession. However, the older Phoenix Wright seen in Apollo Justice has been criticized as "aloof and inscrutable", with "his character's development...lost along the wayside." GameDaily called him the eighth greatest Capcom character, citing how he perseveres in the face of hardships. They also named him 20th on their "Top 25 Gaming Hunks." They included his hairstyle in the list of "w…
