I was clocked at 40 hours per week, but I was on site all week long. I worked late hours supervising the youth in their various recreational and educational programs. I prepared and presented the educational material on a daily basis as well. I was assigned anywhere from six to twelve youth per week.
This is a specialized unit in the Utah State Hospital where students reside who are unable to function in society because of severe abuse and neglect. I learned about the most severe abuse that occurred to these children, and helped them learn to get some of the most severe behavior problems under control.
I represented my church in Spain for two years sharing our beliefs and conducting service projects. I learned a myriad of Spanish dialects. I traveled all along the coast of the Mediterranean. There were immigrants from Africa, Latin America, the Middle East and Asian countries.
Activities and Societies: The business law clinic activities are listed above. I also thoroughly enjoyed my negotiation class where we worked on some real world business negotiation scenarios. The business disputes course was also intense for developing my ability to write and argue a complex appeal on extraterritoriality and bankruptcy.
Activities and Societies: The activities of the Free Legal Aid Clinic and the Lakeshore Legal Aid Counsel and Advocacy Law Line are listed above. Quite honestly, I enjoyed my contract classes and secured transaction classes the most.
Activities and Societies: I really enjoyed playing soccer with the intramural group and for a short time with a premier development league. In the future, I hope to coach soccer.
