The sulfuric waters are at a constant temperature of 37º, and its flow is abundant throughout the year (800 liters per second), which makes the place an ideal place to enjoy a good bath.

Right outside the village on the main road towards the right is the large spa. Past the spa entrance there is a hot river which runs through the fields.
From Orbetello you need to get a first bus to Manciano ( lines 11-PR or from Grosseto via Albinia 41-PR ); from Manciano there’s a second bus (line 17-PR); the Thermal Baths are before the town of Saturnia, so ask the driver to drop you off there. There is only one bus from Manciano to Saturnia, so you will need to spend one or two nights in Saturnia (in town or at the nearby resort).

Porto Ercole and Ansedonia are also easily accessible from Saturnia.

From there take the Aurelia SS11 to Montalto di Castro; when you’ve passed Montalto, take the Vulci exit and drive towards Manciano and Saturnia (it’s about 180km, 2 hours drive from Rome). From Florence go towards Siena and from there take the SS223 to Grosseto. Once in Grosseto follow Scansano, Montemerano, Saturnia.
The thermal baths of Montecatini are scattered throughout the center, but you will find them especially along the Viale Verdi. Further to the south in Tuscany there are plenty of thermal springs, but unfortunately none with beautiful SPA resorts. Most of the springs are the result of volcanic activity. which provides hot water pools and sulphide rich water. As we go even more to the south Telese and Fiuggi Terme are best known for thermal baths, Telese is located north of Benevento and not far from the city of Caserta, known for the beautiful palace of Caserta in Campania. Fiuggi Terme is in Lazio on the border of Abruzzo, an area known for its seismic activity. Between Tuscany and Lazio there are several small natural baths like Terme di Papi , Bagni San Filippo, Terme di Bulicane , Piscine Carletti in. The Terme di Saturnia are a group of springs located in the municipality of Manciano in Tuscany, a few kilometers from the village of Saturnia. The springs that feed the baths are located in the southeastern valley and cover a vast area stretching from Mount Amiata and the hills of the rivers Fiora and Albegna to the Maremma grossetana in Roselle (Terme di Roselle) and Talamone (Terme dell'Osa). A legend, according to the Etruscans and Romans, was that the Terme di Saturnia were formed by lightning bolts, thrown by Jupiter at Saturn.
