After demonstrating sufficient knowledge of criminal law and procedure in misdemeanor matters, interns respond to motions in felony cases, frequently suppression motions. Other assignments include researching questions arising during trial and relating to elements of a specific crime, admission of evidence, Miranda and Fifth Amendment issues, instructions or sentencing issues.
