Due to illness, Ray Collins only appeared in a few episodes after the 1960 season. Collins had contracted emphysema brought on by years of smoking, and he also was beginning to forget his lines and it was because of this he was forced to leave in the middle of the seventh season.

Richard AndersonRichard Anderson, who played Lt. Steve Drumm in the final season (1965-1966) of the original Perry Mason has passed away. He also had a guest spot in the 1973-1974 New Perry Mason series and appeared in the 1985 TV-movie Perry Mason Returns. He was the only actor to appear in all three Perry Mason TV series.
