It is also revealed in the final episode that Trucy is Apollo's half sister, a fact that both are currently unaware of. Ace Attorney is a series of adventure video game legal dramas developed by Capcom. The first entry in the series, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, was released in 2001; since then, five further main series games, as well as various spin-offs and high-definition remasters for newer game consoles, have been released. Additionally, the series has seen adaptations in the form of a live-action film and an anime, and has been the base for manga series, drama CDs, musicals and stage plays .
The Ace Attorney series has been credited with helping to popularise visual novels in the Western world. Vice magazine credits the Ace Attorney series with popularising the visual novel mystery format, and notes that its success anticipated the resurgence of point-and-click adventure games as well as the international success of Japanese visual novels. According to Danganronpa director Kazutaka Kodaka, Ace Attorney ' s success in North America was due to how it distinguished itself from most visual novels with its gameplay mechanics, which Danganronpa later built upon and helped it also find success in North America.
It was released for the Nintendo 3DS in 2015 in Japan; it has also been released for Android and iOS in 2017 in Japan. The Great Ace Attorney 2: Resolve is the second entry in The Great Ace Attorney series.
The Ace Attorney Investigations spin-off series splits the gameplay into investigation phases and rebuttal phases , the latter of which is similar to the courtroom trials of the main series. During the investigation phases, the player searches for evidence and talks to witnesses and suspects. Things the player character notices in the environment are saved as thoughts; the player can use the "logic" system to connect two such thoughts to gain access to new information. At some points, the player can create hologram reproductions of the crime scene, through which they can discover new information that would otherwise be hidden. Ace Attorney Investigations 2 introduces "logic chess", where the player interrogates witnesses in a timed sequence that is visualized as a game of chess, with the player aiming to destroy the other character's chess pieces. To do this, they need to build up their advantage in the discussion by alternating between speaking and listening, and then choose to go on the offensive.
Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is a crossover between Ace Attorney and the Professor Layton series. It was released for the Nintendo 3DS in 2012 in Japan and in 2014 in the West.
The series currently consists of six main series games and five spin-offs.
The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is a compilation of both Adventures and Resolve to be released in July 2021 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Microsoft Windows. This will be the first time both games are officially available outside of Japan.

The chief of police featured in "Rise From The Ashes," Damon Gant is remembered as a majorly charismatic presence and terrifying villain with one of the best breakdowns in the franchise. As Lana Skye's partner, he blackmailed her into helping him plant evidence and hide the victims of his murders.
A rival and eventual friend of Phoenix, Miles Edgeworth is one of the most complex characters and best lawyers in the franchise, rivaling the best lawyers on TV with his perfectionism. While he spends the first game antagonizing Phoenix, the revelations of his past involvements in the incidents surrounding the game's final two cases endear him to fans.
Each game, including the connected Ace Attorney Chronicles spinoff , involves a series of recurring characters while also expanding the series' roster, and the first game has the most new faces to offer.
Sholmes then appeared in court to collect a sample of Selden's prints from Viridian Green (with Selden’s key in her possession). It was revealed that due to Sholmes' presence in Natsume's room (reading books), Shamspeare could not have checked the room for the treasure.
They also managed to find the head of the Professor statue, connecting Drebber to the kidnapping. Though Sholmes managed to disable the one bomb before everyone was blown to bits, Drebber revealed there was another bomb at the crime scene, which subsequently exploded and eliminated most of the uncovered evidence, as well as a few nearby guards.
Sholmes' habit of listening to other people's business lead him to learn about a telegram from England to Japan. It read: K. Asogi, A. Shin, T. Gureguson, J. Wilson and "That is all four". Since he had heard about Dr. John Wilson 's death in Japan, and given notorious assassin Asa Shinn had vanished half a year prior, Sholmes thought these four people were to be killed as part of some sort of conspiracy. With this knowledge, he notified Yujin, who wrote him letters notifying him that Kazuma Asogi would be coming to England on the SS Burya. Sholmes decided to board the ship and stop Asogi’s study abroad to save him.
The following day, the wax figure had mysteriously returned (though it was missing its head), though Sholmes was still acting as a wax figure. Naruhodo and Susato approached him during this time to question him about the "death" of Asogi nearly a year earlier.
However, that same document also lists Great Ace Attorney for a Q1 2021 launch and that's now being released on July 27, 2021. As such, that falls within Q3. Considering many games have faced delays due to the global pandemic, it's not unreasonable to assume both might've faced issues.
Considering the (likely working title) name given in the Capcom documents, Ace Attorney 7 is believed to be set after Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice, which came out in 2016. That involved us visiting the Kingdom of Khura'in, seeing the return of Maya Fey.
Alternatively, Ace Attorney 7 could've been pushed back so it doesn't clash with Great Ace Attorney. Until Capcom officially confirms it though, we'll have to wait for further details.
The auction conductor had worn a white jacket with white gloves and a three-piece set of purple flowers, as well as a mask of "Zurvan". Edgeworth showed the autopsy report to Hart and confirmed that they were the same clothes that the conductor had worn.
The assassin told Edgeworth about the presence of a mastermind who had been pulling the strings in the case. Edgeworth had known about this mastermind, as evidenced by the letter that Faraday denied writing. De Killer wondered what Edgeworth could do, now that he could no longer stand in the courtroom. Edgeworth asked how de Killer knew so much about the case, but he replied that that was not important at the moment before ending the conversation. De Killer's true intention remained a mystery, and it seemed that the incident was not over yet.
The agreed-upon crown jewel of the Ace Attorney series, Trials and Tribulations allowed players to act as three different attorneys throughout the game while also bringing back important characters that make sense in the plot, rather than “just because." If being able to play as Mia Fey wasn't enough to earn first place on this list, then Phoenix Wright's college backstory most certainly is.
With the Ace Attorney series nearing its 20th anniversary, it seems fitting to look back on the series so far. Each of its 11 games has tried something new, always experimenting and testing the best ways to tell a court-based visual novel.
In this game, players act as a new character, Apollo Justice, representing a passing of the torch from Phoenix to his “apprentice” figure. This signalled that Phoenix’s saga had come to a close (or so it seemed to indicate), and players were able to see characters grow and evolve during the 7 years that had passed since the last game.
Another hidden gem of the Ace Attorney series, many have played Ace Attorney Investigations 2 through the outstanding fan translation available online. Not only is this another Japanese-exclusive game in the series, but it also stands out as another sequel better than the original.
The game doesn't shy away from comedic moments either, having its share of fun with clowns and amnesia plots, but will throw you for a loop with its last case. No exaggeration : Justice For All has one of the most intense moments of conflict and grey morality in a video game to this date.

This ranks lower on the list due to its being a crossover, containing Professor Layton-style puzzles and therefore less actual Ace Attorney gameplay. The only main series characters that make an appearance Phoenix and Maya (and Edgeworth, briefly.) Nevertheless, this game is a worthy tribute to both series, with wonderfully-crafted 3D models and excellent music throughout.

The series was created by Shu Takumi, who wrote and directed the first three games. The first game was conceived in 2000 when Takumi's boss at the time, Shinji Mikami, gave him six months to create any type of game he wanted to; Takumi had originally joined Capcom wanting to make mystery and adventure games, and felt that this was a big chance for him to make a mark as a creator…
The localization of the first game was outsourced to Bowne Global, and was handled by the writer Alexander O. Smith and the editor Steve Anderson. While the Japanese version takes place in Japan, the localized version is set in the United States: because one of the episodes involves time zones, they had to specify where the game takes place, and chose the United States without thinking a lot about it. The Japanese justice system of the original still remained intact in the loc…
