Rise from the Ashes is the only English episode title in the entire series minus Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney that does not contain the word "Turnabout" in its English name. The exceptions in the crossover are due to the game's adoption of the Professor Layton games' chapter structure.

She was fired after the events of the SL-9 Incident. Two years later, she was called as a witness in the murder of a fellow detective who had been involved in the SL-9 Incident but had kept his job. Starr has a strong hostility towards prosecutors, especially Lana Skye and Miles Edgeworth.
Early brainstorming suggestions for Phoenix's name included "Cole" and "Wilton", but "Phoenix" was chosen as a name that would "stand out". The nickname "Nick" (used by his partner, Maya Fey) was chosen based on its believability and similarity to the sound of "Phoenix".
Hugging her sister. Although Lana was cleared of the murder charge, by aiding in the forging of evidence, she had set herself up for severe punishment, making it unlikely that she would still hold the position of Chief Prosecutor.
Gant panicked, fearing that the secret behind Darke's conviction would be revealed. He picked up Darke's knife from the evidence and killed Goodman. Gant then had Lana Skye hide the body in Miles Edgeworth's car so that Edgeworth would unwittingly transport the body to the Prosecutor's Building.
He began wearing a special visor over his eyes that enabled him to see, although it was limited in that he could not see red on a white background. Considering his old self to have "died," he took on the new name "Godot".

by Alex Donaldson on 04 April, 2019. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is one of the all-time great visual novel mystery style games, and it's had quite the journey. It began life as a Japan-only Game Boy Advance title, then found huge success worldwide on Nintendo DS. Since then it's travelled all over - mobile, Wii, 3DS - and now it's back, ...
It's a dramatic opening to the trial, and once you have control again, Ema is on the stand.
Episode 5: Rise from the Ashes is the final episode of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. An extra episode for the Nintendo DS version of the game which also saw an international release, it was not present in the original Japan -only release on the Game Boy Advance.
It is one of the longest episodes in the Ace Attorney series to date, spanning three investigation chapters and seven trial chapters and having the player carry more evidence in the court record than in any other episode in the main series of Ace Attorney games.
Before the trial could start, Gant had a proposal to make. He wanted Lana to be the first to speak, and it was accepted. Lana confessed to the murder once more , wanting the trial to end and even forfeiting her right to have an attorney. The judge agreed, and was about to give his verdict when Edgeworth objected, claiming he hadn't proven the defendant guilty yet. Something must have happened behind the scenes to make the defendant suddenly confess again. He called Ema to the court to testify, but Lana objected. Lana's objection was overruled, and Ema testified about the time she witnessed Neil's murder.
During the recess, Gumshoe handed Wright a book called "Evidence Law". It contained the two rules when submitting evidence to the court, with a message from Lana: "if you want to take HIM on, you're going to need this book".
Back to the court, the judge told Edgeworth that after the trial he would be harshly penalized for his actions in the SL-9 Incident. Furthermore, it was revealed that Edgeworth would not be permitted to call any further witnesses or present any more evidence, as he was no longer considered trustworthy. Since this left the trial in danger of ending without a verdict, Edgeworth allowed Wright to call any remaining witnesses to the stand, and Wright decided to summon Gant.
Officer Mike Meekins then arrived and attempted to give Edgeworth a file relating to another case, but Edgeworth dismissed him, merely shooed the officer away. Per Edgeworth's suggestion, Wright and Ema headed to the police department. Out front, Wright noticed a "dancing machine" and someone dancing by its side.
When the trial began, Meekins was the first to testify. It was proven he entered the evidence room twice, and the judge asked for an explanation. He said that the first time, he put the Blue Badger inside the room. The second time, he went to move the Blue Badger out of the room, but he was confronted by a man who was apparently Goodman. Meekins told to the court the same story he told to Wright on the previous day, then presented a video of what went on, and it corroborated his story. The face of "Goodman", however, was not visible, making it unclear whether the real Goodman was in the evidence room or in the parking garage with Lana. Moreover, the video in fact showed that the rubber glove had become trapped in the door lock, deactivating the fingerprint sensor and meaning that it wasn't necessarily Goodman who had opened the locker. Wright asked to question Jake Marshall, saying that they should hear from him as he was the person in charge of the evidence room, and Edgeworth agreed to the request. The judge called for a recess.
Talk to Ema. - Ema - The case - Scientific investigator (appears after "Ema") - Relation to Mia (appears after "The case")
Talk to Ema. - SL-9 Incident - After the incident - Permanent picture (added after "SL-9 Incident") - Something puzzling (added after "Permanent picture")
The truth of the matter is that Jake actually used to be a detective until 2 years ago and, because they are short on hands right now, he was assigned to the case.
Phoenix has to wonder why Darke would run away from a Prosecutor into Lana's office of all places, so Ema explains that on that day Darke had been brought in for questioning and escaped. Phoenix still doesn't understand, so Ema clarifies that two years ago Lana was actually working as a detective, and was transferred to the prosecution office to her current role after the case.
Ema seems to have an idea she wants to try out and shows Phoenix a bottle of Luminol spray; a spray that can reveal traces of blood even after they have been washed away. They try out the spray and find a little blood by the back of Edgeworth's car where Lana and Goodman supposedly fought. But the odd thing is that there is very little blood present, when you consider the large blood stain on the bottom of Goodman's shoe.
She also feels guilt over what happened because on the night that Neil was murdered, Darke had tried to kill her and Neil died trying to protect her. She had been waiting in Lana's office when Darke had attacked her, seemingly on the run from someone else at the time, and tried to take her hostage. That was when Neil came in and tackled Darke, the lights went out at that moment due to a heavy thunder storm that was going on at the time, so Ema only saw a brief instant of when Darke had stabbed Neil during a lightning flash. She says how, because she wasn't able to testify about the actual stabbing due to her fear of the situation, that Lana had made up false evidence and Edgeworth had unknowingly used it in order to convict Darke of the murders. As a result, this was the case that started off all the rumours about Edgeworth using false evidence, so Ema feels especially guilty. All of this was part of the reason she decided she wanted to become a scientific investigator.
He reveals to Edgeworth that it was his fault they missed the two valuable pieces of items. He asks for a written apology and Edgeworth looks humiliated. But, Gant doesn't really see the point in discussing the new knife too closely, as he can't see how it is connected to the current case. But, on investigating the knife closer, it has a tag with " SL-9 2" written on it, which Phoenix connects to a note found on Goodman. Previously Phoenix believed the note to read as "6-7S 12/2", but, after turning it upside down, he realised it read "2/21 SL-9". Gant doesn't seem at all phased by the revelation, seemingly he'd already realised this, so tells the truth; the knife was evidence in a case and was stolen from the police departments evidence room on the day of the murder.
Phoenix and Ema go back to the offices briefly where Ema apologises for her sister coming off as so cold, saying that she isn't always like that, although Phoenix finds it hard to believe. They then go down to investigate the parking lot at the prosecutors office where the body was found. There they run into a detective dressed like a cowboy who's investigating the scene already and tells the two of them to move along. But as the two persist in looking around, particularly at the car, he tells them to go to room 1202 of the Prosecutor's Office, there they will find the prosecutor who owns the car. Just as they look around before leaving, they run into a young woman selling lunches, Angel Starr, who tells them they shouldn't be here, but also that she is the witness to the murder. They decide to question here as she's willing to talk, and she tells how yesterday there was some kind of award given for the "King of Prosecutors", although she gives the impression that who won the award was undeserving of it, and that also he is the one who owns the car the body was found in.
Additionally, wrapped up inside the scarf was a broken, bloodstained switchblade knife.
