5. level 1. · 5y. I would recommend making his backstory a bit deeper, perhaps expanding on his childhood (I always felt like he was born with a mental disorder, or that he had a mentor that influenced him). I would also like a deeper explanation …

· The titular defense attorney of the series, he makes for a slightly better assistant than Kristoph. It's almost a relief to get him on your side and away from Kristoph; however, it …
Black Psyche-Locks appeared when Wright asked for Kristoph's motive for killing Zak Gramarye, and this seems to imply that he was, in some sense, hiding his secrets even from himself. In the end, the Jurist System was needed to foil his plans.

Matt is the first and, so far, the only defendant in the Ace Attorney franchise that was ultimately found genuinely guilty and earned a guilty verdict rightfully. He is one of three main villains not to be in law enforcement or a government official, with the other people being Dahlia Hawthorne, and Simon Keyes.

Atroquinine is a synthetic substance that is extremely poisonous to humans. It is a very potent poison (lethal at 2 µg) that paralyzes the nervous system. It takes at least 15 minutes after ingestion for adverse effects to show. Symptoms include trembling of the limbs, arching of the back, and burning of the throat.
During a case seven years prior to the events of Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, two months after Trials and Tribulations, he was forced to forfeit his attorney's badge after presenting evidence that, unknown to him, was forged.
Despite a few little flaws, I thoroughly recommend “Dual Destinies” to fans of the Ace Attorney series. If you are new to the series, you might want to start at the very first game since the story is chronological, but honestly, this would also make a great, fun, jumping in point, too!
Housuke OdorokiApollo Justice, known as Housuke Odoroki in Japan, is a main character in the Ace Attorney series of mystery visual novel adventure games. He is the protagonist of the fourth game, a playable main character in the fifth and one of the protagonists in the sixth game.
Kristoph has a scar on his right hand; when he tenses the muscles in his hand, a skull-like image is formed, with the scar acting as the "mouth". This was the tell that Justice's bracelet picked up on during Kristoph Gavin's testimony in Vera Misham's trial, with Vera herself thinking that it was "The Devil".
Musical theme. Well, this case certainly has taken a turn... for the interesting! Kristoph Gavin was a renowned defense attorney with his own law firm, and the former boss and mentor of Apollo Justice. He was often called "the coolest defense in the West", referring to his ability to keep his cool during a trial.
Phoenix Wright convinced the judicial system to use this case to test the Jurist System. With Apollo Justice and Klavier Gavin at the benches, the trial traced the poison to the stamp that Kristoph had poisoned seven years before. When Klavier realized that this case was related to Zak Gramarye's trial, he began to hound Vera for answers, which caused her to bite her nails nervously, finally consuming the atroquinine that Kristoph had planted. The trial was suspended for the day, and Vera was hospitalized.
Drew's daughter Vera was accused of committing the murder. Phoenix Wright convinced the judicial system to use this case to test the Jurist System. With Apollo Justice and Klavier Gavin at the benches, the trial traced the poison to the stamp that Kristoph had poisoned seven years before.
He instead called Phoenix Wright to his cell and, upon losing to him, hired him as his attorney. Gavin felt cheated out of his quest for glory over a poker game. He decided to plant the diary page that Vera Misham had forged onto Zak's oblivious daughter to give to Wright, to ruin both him and his new defendant.
However, Vera kept the stamp for herself, due to being a big fan of Troupe Gramarye, and replied to Gavin's letter with a different stamp.
Kristoph's only known family is his younger brother, Klavier, who also works in law, but as a prosecutor rather than a defense attorney. Seven years prior to Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, Kristoph took on Zak Gramarye as his client after he was accused of murdering his mentor and father-in-law, Magnifi Gramarye. The case was quite high-profile as Zak was part of the famed Gramarye Troupe, a well known circus act, so, in order to ensure a victory in the case and further his own career, he had some false evidence created that would implicate Valant Gramarye as the murderer. However, the day before the case, Zak challenged Kristoph to a game of poker and, as Kristoph lost, Zak fired him as his defense attorney and instead took on Phoenix Wright as his defense instead. Kristoph was outraged that he would be fired from such an important case so to get revenge to told Klavier, who incidentally would be prosecuting on the case, that Wright was going to present a false piece of evidence during the trial. He told him that when he did to call Drew Misham, the forger, who would testify about the fake evidence. Kristoph's scheme went just as planned and the case ended without a verdict as Zak fled the courtroom, and Wright was blamed for the fake evidence. As the board were coming to a decision as to whether to disbar Wright or not, Kristoph was the only one who stood up for him and the two became friends after this. However, this only so that Kristoph could keep an eye on him.
Kristoph Gavin is a defense attorney who first appears in the first case of Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney; Turnabout Trump .
It's not detailed how Kristoph trained in or got into law, but at the start of the game he had set up his own office and taken in Apollo as a student. However, during Apollo's case which Kristoph was overseeing, the whole case would turn around to have Kristoph as the suspect in the murder of Shadi Smith. As a result, Kristoph was proven guilty of murder and sent to prison.
As with many of the canon games, Kristoph Gavin: Ace Attorney is told in anachronic order. The Grave Turnabout, the first case of the game, is the last chronologically, taking place in 2023, three years before the events of Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney. The second case, A Lesson in Turnabout, takes place in 2020, and is the first case in the game chronologically. The third and final cases ( The Art of Turnabout and Family of Turnabout respectively) both take place consecutively in 2021.
The core plot of the series revolves around Kristoph's past coming back to haunt him in various ways. There is also a significant subplot about Apollo joining Gavin & Co. Law Offices, despite the wishes of his adoptive father, Ian Justice, who himself is the head of another law firm.
Serving as Athena's co-counsel and assistant during Duel Destinies' third case, Apollo is quite competent as her senior. His advice is sound and he possesses a sharp mind and wit that matches her own.
Easily the worst of the bunch, Grossberg is technically Mia Fay's second assistant despite debuting during Trials and Tribulations' first case. While he at least fulfills the role of support well enough for newcomers, his often shrinking demeanor and gross remarks about his...unfortunate biological issues....make Mia's comeback trial that much more isolating.
