Fearing the worst, Misty later summoned Dahlia Hawthorne so that Pearl would not be able to. At the Inner Temple garden, Hawthorne attempted to kill Maya, but Godot appeared from behind and stabbed Hawthorne in the back with the sword cane, resulting in Misty's death.
While Edgeworth does not appear in person in Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, in later games he is mentioned as still being in contact with Wright after he lost his attorney's badge, as well as seeing his daughter Trucy's magic shows from time to time.

As mentioned, Edgeworth's father was a defense attorney and he aspired to become one like him. Even when he was growing up, at school he defended Wright in a mock school trial when Wright was accused of stealing his lunch money. He and Wright, and also Larry, became good friends growing up.
Edgeworth is a public prosecutor, and an incredibly successful one. He was the youngest prosecutor in the country at the time starting at age 20, although his record would later be broken by Klavier Gavin. He didn't lose a single case until his first trial against Wright.
Edgeworth's First Loop was during a Fused Loop with Mass Effect, before Phoenix had any real idea of what was going on. It is not known what his thoughts were upon awakening in some strange other world, where his entire history was different, but when Phoenix saw him, he seemed calm enough.

(Talking about Will Powers) He's not a bad kid, but don't be fooled by his mask! You wouldn't want him on the silver screen without it, believe me. Little old ladies watching would lose their lunch!
When Maya was two years old, her mother left the village in shame because of the DL-6 Incident. Her older sister Mia took it upon herself to find out what had happened to their mother and left Kurain Village; Maya was left in the care of her aunt Morgan and the rest of the village.
Pearl and Maya with the Sacred Urn. In October of the same year, the Kurain Sacred Urn, which was said to carry the soul of Ami Fey, was set to be displayed at an exhibit at Lordly Tailor. However, the urn was stolen, the fifth heist of " Mask☆DeMasque .".
Maya Fey was born into a prominent family of spirit mediums and lived in Kurain Village, the home of most of the Fey family, for most of her life. Her father died when she was young. Incredible PC game bundle, from $10. Buy from Fanatical.
Many of Maya's tangents are based on hamburgers, and she has joked that she has four stomachs: one for burgers, one for steak, one for sweets, and one for other foods. She also likes peanut and jelly sandwiches. Despite her childish and seemingly naïve nature, Maya has demonstrated wisdom through many grueling trials.
From then on, Maya would use her psychic powers to channel Mia's spirit to help Wright when he needed it, though her powers were weak at first and she was able to summon Mia only for short periods at a time.
Maya appears in the fighting game Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 as some of Phoenix Wright's attacks and also as one of his Level 1 Hyper Combos, in which she runs forward whilst flailing her arms wildly with a barrage of punches that pushes Wright's opponent back. She also appears during Wright's intro to hand him his papers and reappears if Wright wins to shower him in confetti.
The number of orbs on the necklaces of Fey clan members represents how far along in their training they are. In the original Ace Attorney trilogy, Maya wore four , the same as Pearl, but by the time of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Spirit of Justice, this was increased to six.
I feel like this game could have fit the canon spinoff slot that the Investigation games filled on the DS.
